Do you have one giant lore document that encompasses all your worlds-languages-magic-lore etc available?
What's your favorite food?
How would you say that your magic system works? Very curious :3
Watched any good shows or movies lately?
What genre of music or artists would you say are your biggest inspiration for your songs and music? I ADORE the few songs that you've put out on YT & Bandcamp, and there's truly nothing like them that I've ever heard before, because I want to find similar sounding melodies/vibes to them (especially your song Guess Not!! 💚)
First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH ;w;
My BIGGEST inspiration, heck I'd say the foundation of my musical style, would be Adam Young of Owl City. Literally ANYTHING from him would give you the same if not similar vibe to my songs. Porter Robinson's concurrent pieces are my more recent inspirations.
Speaking of, recently I've been listening to Linus from the Stars, who ALSO makes Owl City-esque music, and Snuffles who has a similar-ish sound.
Hope you enjoy them, and thank you again!
Hearing that people enjoy my music means a lot to me 💜✨
If you had the thanos glove what country or concept would you wipe from reality forever
How many forms do you have? owo
Are humans gonna be the bad guys in your story 👀
Do you still have all your old refs of your characters as you were growing and changing as an artist?
How common is magic in the Ralphy verse? Can it only be done by those born with special abilities or can anyone learn. Also are their “special” schools for it?
Most of the magic in her world are done by Feonna's people, who ...let's say settled earth not too long ago. That said, I've yet to really determine the modern framework for said magic. All I know so far, is that they're specific to Feonna's kind, they're tied to what birth emblem they have, and it uses the caster's own energy to channel it.
As for schools, magical aptitude is taught like P.E. or sports classes, it ties into the health and wellbeing of the mage.
When you're developing your languages, what is your process when creating and constructing the letters/alphabet?
FIRST: What script do you ultimately want to go for?
SECOND: Is it naturalistic? If so, then the process involves evolving the writing system over time.
So, say I want to make a naturalistic alphabet.
1. It starts with drawing up pictograms and logograms, keeping the writing medium of the culture in mind.
2. Have those glyphs change as writing media change; perhaps if this writing system was loaned from another culture, think of ways how that could've changed the overall aesthetic of the writing system.
3. Then, determine when in the language's history does the writing system occur (especially if the writing system was loaned).
4. Next, determine how frequently the culture updates their spelling. This will have an impact on the spelling rules the culture would have to contend with. Writing systems tend to have more inertia to change compared to the spoken language. So the earlier the introduction of writing, the more that spelling reforms come into question.
As you go through each of these steps, make sure you document it as thoroughly as you can. In the end, you should have a set of spelling rules for your orthography
AS FOR THE ACTUAL DESIGN AND AESTHETIC OF THE ORTHOGRAPHY
My tried and true method is to look for inspiration in natural and constructed orthographies, note some features and aesthetics I'd like to have expressed in my system, and applying some basic design principles as I realize the concepts.
Some of those design principles are: properties of the medium, shape language, gestalt principles like proximity and continuity, and more depending what I need to keep in mind as I design the glyphs.
As I've always mentioned when it comes to world building, and thus conlanging for a con-culture: ask A LOT of questions. Where did the writing system come from? What direction is it going? How many people in this culture are able to read and write? Should the spelling be easy or hard? Etc.
I can only answer some much. If you want more resources, you can watch Biblaridion and Artifexian for some resources.
Reckon you'll draw much more TFy stuff? Be it inanimate or fusion?
