I just now saw this-- but I didn't realize that writer apps hadn't been extended. It was a little confusing at a glance, but next time consider making it a little more apparent that it was only artist applications that were extended. I thought I still had time to submit after being out of town for about a month, which is the only reason I didn't apply sooner. :/
We're sorry to hear that! We did write "artist apps" extended in all captions and in our Twitter bio, but we'll do our best next time to make it clearer.

I wanted to check out the head mod before applying and it looks like the head mod is concurrently running approx ten zines with no actual completed projects. What assurances can be given that this isn't another 'mod runs off with the funds' set up?
Hello! Our head mod Nana is not holding the funds on any of the projects she is running, and our finance mod Bob has completed Mansion of Fears, Haikyuu Travel zine, and A Lifetime With You as finance mod — to name just a few!
Mod Nana will have no opportunity to "run off with the funds", as you say, and we felt Mod Bob was very trustworthy given their experience.

Were merch artist apps also extended or will we receive our emails (like writers) on the 8th?
All artist apps were extended until Dec 14th, including merch apps!! Writer results will be sent out on the 8th while all other results will be sent on the 20th (approximately).

Is there a reason why writer apps weren’t also extended? It’s rather strange to see only one extended even when zines need more artists apps they extend all apps not just one.
Hello! While we did consider extending writer apps, we ultimately decided that bringing the writers in early would be best for our schedule. This would allow them to start working with their spot artists right away! We're very grateful for the huge turnout of writers we had that made this schedule adjustment possible.

If only artist apps were extended, will results for writers still go out on December 8?
Correct!! Writer app results will go out as planned — this will allow writers to get started a bit ahead of our new schedule (which will be updated soon on our Carrd) and have their pitches prepared by the time spot artists join.

Yes, non-sexual romantic content (rated G on AO3, which includes romantic descriptions without explicit sexual interaction, up to and including light kissing and displays of platonic affection) will be allowed!
