Any major personality and behavior differences between them and their fantasy selves since they're in a modern culture?

Fenris is a totally different character IMO. The fun of fantasy is those chauvinistic patriarchal tropes that fantasy Fenris has in spades is... fun & easily brushed off by the culture and how hard life is.

I/we do not like that in modern settings, especially since they're much more "human" in this setting and are humans with furry paint, not walking/talking animals like their main setting.

Modern Fenris would be described as a feminist - he's openly pro-sex work and still lgbt+ positive like he is in his main world. His mother who is the perfect example of Powerful Working Woman who has it ALL was his world as a child. He did grow up in a more "trad" culture due to being in his 40s and likely uses vintage terms he's learned from elder queers. A big difference is he's openly encouraging Miorjah's independence & financial stability.

He's also the person who convinces her to try birth control for her irregular heat cycles :P ( fantasy Fenris meanwhile would absolutely refuse to wear condoms & flush birth control, sorry. )

He's still an aggressive stoic kinda jerk who refuses to cry in front of almost anyone, but far from the norseman barbaric brute we all know and love.

Miorjah meanwhile er... I guess forces herself to be sociable? She also masks way more, it's a struggle because in private spaces she has high sensory needs and ticks a lot, so she hides that from Fenris for a while till he finds her blasting music in her headphones and rocking in her chair to keep calm during a panic attack. She very much keeps the same personality traits, though maybe a bit less lonely and more PTSD from witnessing her parent's bodies.
