"Magic" as we know it and in their main setting has loong since died out but for a few select things. Miorjah can use her Alicorne for things like removing poison, stopping bleeding, purification etc but only magic that we can pass off as a trick or "glitch in the matrix" still really exists. Miorjah's magic will protect her from being shot for instance, no matter how "good" the shooter is. :3

However, being a unicorn does give her IT girl in a way. Mythical creatures & endangered species are supported by the government. They're kinda idolized and old myths are very much beloved. Being a unicorn automatically makes her "pretty", cute or cool to most folks who find her interesting.

Funfact: part of the government support network for mythical and endangered creatures includes an act to promote large families. This act changes between mythical and endangered species on a thing of severity. Fenris is also technically considered endangered as a Norwegian Dire-Wolf/Iotunnulf. Miorjah despite being wealthy both gets a stipend/SSI from the government herself, she'll get more for any kid she has and gets free vouchers for food & childcare. (yes, this is 100% my excuse for Miorjah and Fenris to have like 15 kids)
