I play D&D, draw things on Mars, ride a motorcycle, and am kinda obsessed with Death Stranding. You can see my OCs here: https://refsheet.net/mistercrowbar

Love your comics!
Considering Aldiirn as a companion in the game. How would a romance route with him (Considering good/bad ending) go? Also if we had a platonic relationship?
I just like to imagine people's tavs/durge as actually characters in game!
I've written a companion quest for Aldiirn through act 1! It's on the comic site: https://bg3.mrcrowb.art/the_musical_merchant
Aldiirn's act 1 romance is mostly about sharing his music and getting to peel back some of his customer service face. There's a few hints he's ace, and to reach partnered status in act 2 the player would have to be okay in a sexless relationship. I haven't thought too much past that for romances though. Without romancing him, it's a matter of approval to get him to be honest about himself.
I'll likely work on fleshing out Aldiirn's companion quest as I write the comics since I want to touch on some of it there too. His quests kicks off with finding missing couriers from his clan and the outcome is tied to their fate. Aldiirn's Good end has him join Iaurrhen's leadership and make headway with uniting the Underdark via cooperation. His Evil end would also have him in Iaurrhen leadership, but in a more micromanaging dictator role where everyone in the Underdark must follow his vision or keep wallowing in chaos. His Bad end sees him disillusioned with the idea of a united Underdark and he joins the Zhentarim or something.
Good or Evil ending, a player would have to follow him to the Underdark to maintain the romance, he can't be convinced to stay on the surface. Bad ending, he'll do whatever the player wants, but will be unhappy on the surface.
I know Aldiirn starts their journey feeling intimidated by the women of the group but how does he feel by the time they get to the city?
do you think there's a universe where aldiirn and Astarion both welcome gale into their relationship? seeing as gale had a crush on aldiirn at first (-and I'm a sucker for bloodtavweave >///>)
I don't see it ever happening. Gale's a very monogamous guy and there's a disconnect between surface and Underdark values that prevent Aldiirn feeling anything romantic for him. He's pretty decent for a topsider but doesn't really -get- what goes on in the Underdark. Two partners would also be overwhelming for Aldiirn since he hadn't had any longterm relationships before Astarion.
Maaayyyybe Astarion would be for it, but with my setup he sees Gale as a rival and I think he would rather shove winning Aldiirn in Gale's face lmao.
what is Aldiirn's favorite meal & dessert? :3c
What's his drink of choice? Alcoholic or otherwise
Root beer! It's so bubbly and cloying and happy, just like Aldiirn, and the more you drink the more you'll be inclined to subscribe to his clan's way of paying it forward and getting merit points. Insidious! The Deep Space Nine reference works great and I've also been told it could reasonably exist in Faerun, it's a perfect drink for Aldiirn.
What's everyone's favorite way to unwind when they have a little free time?
Roszk will just nap, all the better if theres a hot spring or heat source around
Liliwyn gets her zoomies out and/or practice spars
Renee enjoys the company of a good book!
Aleph usually just tends to their gear - there’s always dust to clean out and its something methodical they dont really have to think about
What does Aleph like to do for fun?
Aleph doesn’t have time for fun, that’s stupid and a waste. Honestly for a long time they’ve felt pressured to always be working and trying to prove theirself because if they get caught doing something else, they’ll get reprimanded by their superior for it. It has resulted in a bit of a competitive streak and they do enjoy proving they’re the best at what they do, be it improving the efficiency on an aerosled prop or winning at underground flying martian beyblades.
Before being recruited into Scarlet Dawn, Aleph did have a keenness for ice skating and would practice pulling off the acrobatic spins of a travelling troupe they admired. It’s been a while since they’ve had any practice there, though.
Do states/nations exist in the Mars setting or are civilizations organized more like City States?
City states are the norm since there’s no high speed travel or communications. I haven’t gotten into too much of that YET but the largest entity is probably an empire based in Argyre, which is still only slightly more centralised than the Hellenic Kingdoms. Both consist of prosperous cities on glaciers and benefit from aerothermal energy. Doesn’t stop bickering and infighting tho, everyone always wants more. Valles Marineris is another spot where I might put larger entities, especially at the mouth where there are a lot of crater lakes, channels, and low land.
What are the general dangers a caravan has to worry about while traveling Mars?
Banditry, dust storms, feral beasts, and wurms are the general ones worldwide. Depending on how well a caravan is stocked and defended it can be a treat for raiders living out in harsh highlands. The worst of them are Fearmongers — warboy-esque followers of Phobos — who have gotten pretty riled up since the Green Moon appeared. Upside, Fearmongers only do their thing when Phobos is overheard, downside, Phobos is overhead twice and day and the Fearmongers focus just as much on causing pain as they do stealing stock.
As for natural threats, long dust storms can result in a caravan getting lost but the churning up of dust is needed to renew the soil for the caravan beasts to it. And since the whole caravan is run on giant beasties, they look appetising to other gianter beasties. A caravan is fucked if it encounters a wurm, giant serpents that churn through sand and stone and could swallow a caravan without thinking twice about it.
