do you have any tips for drawing humans faces and/or posing?
I'm a furry artist and struggle with humans and also have a hard time doing more than busts bc of posing :')
Cool thing is - even as a furry artist you already know how to draw eyes, noses and mouths, granted human features are different but in a way you just need to learn how to draw the head shape
I suggest to watch Proko for his tutorial
And I totally understand the struggle with busts, sometimes all I want to draw is just some bust
But, even with busts you can be more dynamic and creative, use lines of action and check out references, trace if needed
And don’t constraint yourself with “realistic” poses, make things more dramatic and big! Dynamic poses are about composition, just think of the body parts and hair, clothing, etc as action arrows, that point to the most important part of the composition, which most of the time is the face.
Don’t forget to also mix and match round and angular shapes, simple and detailed, big and small
Think of poses in a simplified way, don’t think of the small design details - you can always ass them later
And practice! Do studies from references and art of ppl you like (don’t post it tho)
Analyse how and what your faves draw!
