That's great you're an engineer, but that isn't relevant to budgeting, production, or dispensation. Especially shipping from Malaysia, you are looking at a LOT of overhead costs right out of the gate. Your interest check had nothing about funding or what anyone would be willing to pay, so how are you going to price your bundles? Do you have multiple manufacturer liaisons that can assist you in finding bulk discounts? Do you know the identification numbers that will need to go on each parcel? Do you know how to find them? Do you have appropriate packaging materials? What sort of shipping costs are we looking at, with a book, a side book, keychains, charms, prints, and stickers, badges, and washi tape? You are looking at $50 shipping at least, for most parcels of relevant size and weight, not even including the cost of buying the items.
You seem to be shooting for the moon, here, with all the merch listed in the IC. When the entire team has no practical experience in zines, the proper course of action is to make a free digital zine. Not to poorly slap together a team of friends YOU trust that no one else has ever even heard of and expect your weird vague information to be compelling. Shipping from Malaysia is going to increase your money requirements so much, and it is extremely worrisome that you don't even know that? PLEASE get at least one mod who knows what they're doing. You really need at the very least a finance and shipping mod who HAS DONE THIS AT LEAST ONCE. You're all blind leading the blind and it is very concerning. i hope you will actually take this advice, your failure will just make zines even harder for people to have trust in if you take their money and then fail. And you will, if you don't make some changes immediately. Your setup is not going to work. You are already using official assets that are not allowed to be used this way, to promote sales. Please just make this a digital zine with nothing actually at stake. Save yourselves and everyone else the hassle of trying to get their money back when it's mishandled and you don't actually have enough to complete the production, let alone the shipping. Learn how things work on a digital zine, get at least one competent mod with a successful project in their resume, and maybe then try for something physical.

Hey, but you should really consider finding a decent finance mod. No offense to your inexperienced college student, but they are an inexperienced college student. Zines have a lot of theft and bad faith going with finance right now and you look extremely sus. How do we know you're not going to take all our money and run? We don't. Find someone who has experience for at LEAST handling the funds and production, please.
I can understand the trust issue on the bad faith of problematic finance mod. That is exactly the reason why I, SLinth, as the lead mod of the zine, is taking onto the role as a finance/shipping mod myself. First I would like to mention that I'm a professionally employed engineer, not a college student. Perhaps that could alleviate some of your worries.
As you have shown, just because a mod has appeared in 20+ zines doesn't mean they're exactly trustworthy, especially if we know next to nothing about them. That is the reason why we didn't open any mod application for the zine, we started this project as old friends with trust within the circle.
It's true that you don't see us as familiar faces in any zine because we started this zine as a passion project out of love for our Mond Trio because no matter how long we've been waiting for it, this specific theme never appeared in any of the upcoming zines. More than anything, I personally want to see this project become a huge success out of my love for the characters.

If accepted, are artists expected to draw artwork that features all 3 characters or can it feature 1 or 2 of the 3?
Hi there. Thank you for reaching out to us. The theme for Memories focuses on the bond between Kaeya, Diluc and Jean throughout the years. Therefore, page artists of the zine are expected to include all three characters in the artwork to showcase the significance of their bond. Individual character artworks would stray off the original theme and focus of the zine.

Modding the zine is a brand new exciting experience for all of us, and we strive to learn as we go. I read the guidelines and the rules state no romance even for samples. I was curious if the samples would count as “romance” if it’s not the main focus? For example: I have a piece that’s focused on the familial relationship between Kaeya, Albedo and Klee. While Kaebedo is implied in it, it’s not the focus of the piece at all and is more about found family. Would it be acceptable? Thank you!
Hi there! Thank you for contacting us. As long as the romance is just a subtext and not the focus of the story, it is acceptable as a sample. The reason why we require general/platonic samples is to ensure the characterisation of the characters are similar to how we envision it to be in a platonic zine. We will evaluate fic samples based on characterisation and writing style.

There will be a side zine accompaniment in the form of Crepus' journal! Unlike the main zine which would be filled with fully rendered artwork pieces, the side zine would be mainly black and white with sketches done by sketch artists as the man himself.
