When I read Neuromate I liked the level of detail that the author gave to the world inhabited by the protagonist. Detail that I also found when I read Dune and how everything had to be carefully explained before moving on to action. Nurturing the reader's imagination is something important, in my opinion.

To write Raymond I went through several stages. At the beginning Raymond was going to be a very rough and cantankerous character, taking the main character from MAD MAX FURY ROAD. When I started to add more characters to the story, I thought of Colonel Commissar Ibram Gauntt from the Warhammer 40K universe as an example. Finally I wanted to have a character that would help Surge and Kit to trust each other as well as the others and therefore I imagined him without a leg, who couldn't fight as long, but who would be very witty and respected, someone that Surge would keep questioning and challenging him.

Only the closest ones and it's fun to joke in front of the others about the hobbies we have in common.
