It's actually a play on the words 'Morph' and 'Euthanasia' from when I dealt with a lot more negative feelings! While I've gotten my mental health under much better control, it was sort of a motivator mix of words for me; I wanted to 'morph' myself into a better person by focusing on my craft and pursuing writing that I enjoyed to get myself away from the point of feeling like 'euthanasia' was an answer to my passions and other, darker habits and thoughts. It was always sort of a play on words, but I never focused on the subject of it much when I first began using it as my pseudonym.

I think it's worked, and so I keep the name Morphasia to remind myself that we still have the capability to transform for the better and make happiness out of new beginnings that we choose, rather than letting other people choose for us.

That's why I pick up 'Morph' as part of my pen name and a nickname now still, too.
