Anise died in a car accident. Her death has had a huge negative impact on this side of the Fam.

Frank took it the hardest, especially because he was the one driving. (However, he was not the cause of it occurring). He drowns his sorrow in alcohol, something his brother and kids disapprove of(especially when the other driver was drunk.)

Jamie...holds a lot of guilt and pain about it. I'll go into detail about it later. He focuses on trying to take care of his nieces and nephew.

Cydnee copes with hoarding, she doesn't recognize this as hoarding though. Surrounding herself with her mother's things and things that remind her of her mother makes her feel better...well, "better". This puts friction between her and her father and siblings.

Dominic kind of just...turned to doing stupid shit. Drugs, fighting, not really giving a fuck. Well, his kids and Jamie kept him grounded sometimes.

Vivian turned to music. Her mother's death hurts her deeply and she feels only music can really capture how she feels, but music is also simultaneously an escape. Vivi also did drugs and had sex to forget about life at home—she likes to think she's better than her brother lmfao.

It broke Ezra's heart, he really misses his cousin, his best friend. But the two were a really spiritual pair, she may be gone from this plane, but she still watches over them all and that gets him through the day. Even though it can get really lonely...has a buuunch of kids later to fill the void.

That's interesting, I've never thought of either of them being paired with anyone else, much less each other. They'd have met in prison(if my mental math is right) and yes they both went to prison.

Izzy feels bad about her life choices, but Melinda is...not very remorseful. She's a very manipulative woman, it wouldn't be a healthy relationship at all. Izzy is young and hasn't really had guidance from another woman(her relationship with her mother isn't very good). Melinda would try to relate to her.

The reason why Melinda is in prison in the first place has had some indirect effects on Isabelle's life, which is why this is sort of entertaining.

Scooter did help Nicki out from time to time, in the form of giving him money to pay for things. Nicki never really held a job for long. (And you're right, I did draw Nicki asking his daddy for help a long while ago!)

If Scooter were to help Nicki raise his kids...Frank would have stepped in. Frank is defensive of his brother, he wouldn't want Scooter to take on such a burden. His son did adult things, he should act like one, be a man and take care of his own children. Frank also thinks its inappropriate for another man to be so involved, not that he'd ever think ill of his brother. They'd have end up under Frank's roof, realistically.

But! If they were to raise the kittens together under Scooter's roof, Scoot would have a hard time at first. It makes him uncomfortable because it makes some trauma rise back to the surface, but Scooter's so good at hiding how he feels. He makes himself stop smoking in the house cuz he doesn't wanna bother the baby. He drops the girls off at school when he's not on shift, etc. Nicki and Scoot still fall in love, although it's more restrained cuz there's kittens in their presence now. Makayla, Michelle, and Cookie would be affected pretty positively under their combined care. They get TWO dads!!

You are absolutely correct! The relationship between Cookie and Roy is worse than between him and Frank. Both of Cookie's grandfathers provided for him, but they are both drastically different people.

Things on the other side of the family aren't great. They're very judgmental, hypocritical, hide all of the mess behind religion. They are Christian(or at least the Catverse equivalent, they still say Jesus Christ. I'm not thinking that hard about it honestly lol).

I looove Willabelle, she's one of my favorite cats to write and plan for. Oh man, Willie's relationship with her kids and grandkids is a rollercoaster.

They can be dangerous weapons, correct! You are within your right to use your claws for self defense. If you were to murder or heavily mutilate someone with primarily your claws as the weapon, that is grounds for them being taken away from you. FINGERS AND TOES REVOKED!!! Of course, details and context matter for such an extreme outcome.

In sports, if you scratch someone, you are immediately disqualified, doesn't matter if it was an accident. Professional fighting doesn't allow claw use at all. Not only does it cause injury, there's just increased risk for disease! Nicki does a lot of streetfighting, just by looking at him, you can tell claws aren't off the table haha.

Frank is a believer of kids staying with their mother, but if things had gone differently in sooome way, he would've taken custody of Makayla and Michelle, and then Cookie. I mean he does later on anyway, but they're all so fucking damaged he's not really sure how to even begin fixing their issues if he knew of them. Either way, Makayla and Michelle would've turned out a lot better than they did had it happened earlier.

He was involved more with Nora, Nathan, and Neil simply because they visited way more often. His other grandkids did visit and he did give them love! He loves all of his grandkids equally! He's sweet to them all, maybe sometimes tough because he wants them to do better, better than their parents.

None of his grandkids think negatively of him at all. They trust him a lot, although they sometimes wish they trusted him more since he's a cop, he really would've solved certain things. ;W;

I can't believe I forgot about Todd cuz he's the youngest grandchild!!!! TODD LOVES HIS GRANDDADDY!! They get along just fine too. :3
