For I assume love is a complex emotion and it takes time to determine whether or not love is true. But, I do have several factors that is able to help me to determine regarding such matter. As for me, true love involves strong and unwavering dedication to my partner as well as the relationship and deep level of emotional investment. Commitment is not a feeling or emotion, instead it is a conscious decision; to be there for my partner, in good times and bad times, through ups and downs. It requires an action to compromise and prioritize the relationship so it can work towards growth and longevity.

Then, trust. Trust is I suppose the most essential and critical component of true love, but I am fully aware that it may be difficult for few people because it involves having faith in your partner’s honesty, integrity, and ability to fulfill their commitments and promises. Trust is very much needed to build a healthy relationship for it can create a sense of safety and security between me and my partner, allowing him to be vulnerable and open with each other. When trust is present, we can communicate openly and honestly. The last one is communication, it refers to the act of expressing one’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions in an open, honest, and respectful manner. It is also a critical component too because it allows partners to connect to each other on a deep level perception and understanding.

Thus, commitment, trust, and communication are the essential factors to determine whether or not love is true. If I can fulfill these all with my partner, then most likely love can be true. Each person has different opinions about this because people has various perceptions about true love and how to achieve it.
