Hello! How many word count for the excerpts as sample? Is it also 2K to 3K? Thanks!

Coffee Lover · 4d

Hello! What time will applications be open until?

Coffee Lover · 4d

hello, this is my first time joining a fanzine, can I ask about the 100 leeway? What does it mean? thank you so muuch :(

Hello, for applications, you must submit a sample within 2k-3k and the 100 word leeway means you can have a buffer word count below and above. If you have a fic that is 1900, that would be acceptable, same with 3100. Hope that makes sense!

Hello ! Is it possible to apply for 2 different roles ?

Coffee Lover · 6d

hello! i applied during the opening of the contributor apps and wanted to update on my portfolio now, but im unable to change my answers? is there anything that can be done about this?

Hello, please change the documents in the portfolio link, as we cannot accept changes to applications. Thank you!

If I don’t have any jjk fics available is it still okay for me to apply? (I have one written but it’s for another zine and I can’t share it yet)

Hello, per the guidelines, one of the samples must be JJK fandom. You can ask the zine if you can use it for an application, but apps without a JJK sample will be disqualified. Thank you!

Will the zine have strict top/bottom preferences?

Question about blind voting: Should I cover the watermarks in my artworks for the samples and portfolio since they contain my name?

Coffee Lover · 13d

I'm a little confused about the length of writing samples. According to the guidelines, they should fall within "a word count range of 2k-3k, with a 100 word leeway on either side". And the one required COMPLETE fic needs to be "2.5k, with a 100 word leeway below and a 500 word leeway above." Is that right? So if my complete fic is 2.1k, it's too short?

Hello. The guidelines state that 3 samples must be in a 2k-3k word count range with a 100 word leeway on either side. The one sample that must be complete has the same requirements.

Should you be accepted as a writer, the required fic specs at the bottom of the guidelines is what you are expected to complete for the zine.

Hope this helps!

For the writers submission, can we submit excerpts from something we already published and then like write an additional short complete piece?

Coffee Lover · 13d

Will it be possible for one contributor to create multiple pieces for the zine?

Coffee Lover · 13d

Does the NSFW writing sample need to be explicitly GeGo? What if the dynamic isn't really made obvious by what's happening (there's no penetration)?

Hello, while GeGo is preferred, we understand some other dynamics might showcase your skills as a writer. Please ensure that you tag your NSFW accordingly!

Hello! Can writers collab with page artists? For example, a page artist would create a spot art for a writer's piece or maybe even a full page or spread art?

Hello! Collaborations will be accepted as extra pieces for artists who wish to contribute more than their main pieces!

Coffee Lover · 18d

Hiya! Do the 3 sample pieces have to be complete pieces? Can I submit eg a one shot that meets the word count + extracts from longer pieces ? Thanks!

Hello! Only one of the samples is required to be complete. You can then submit extracts for your other 2 samples! Thank you!

I don't understand the difference between a portfolio and a sample. From all the works in the portfolio, do I choose three?

Hello. The sample should be what you consider your three best pieces. These encapsulate your style and illustrate the quality you would create for the zine if you’re accepted. If we are to only look at three pieces, it should be these three. The portfolio is additional work that you think helps illustrate your style.
