i've never done a fest before, how close are we supposed to stick to the prompts? obviously as close as possible, but i saw a prompt that i like and want to claim, and i have some inspiration but i'm not sure it's exactly what the prompter intended. is there a way to clarify with them? should i rein myself in or just go with it? thanks so much <3
Hi! I'm very sorry for the late response. To be honest, all the times I joined fests I went with self-prompts, so I may not be the most reliable person to answer this, but I do think that you won't do >exactly< what the prompter intended anyway because all prompts are open to interpretation and the only person that will do exactly like the prompter intended is the prompter itself. So I say go for it, follow the directions you have (the prompt, the do wants and they do not wants, especially the do not wants), and have fun!
I can try to search for the prompter and mediate between you two (since we have the anonymous thing), but this isn't a guarantee. If you want me to try it, let me know the code of the prompt and I'll ask on twitter to see if we can find the prompter. But, honestly, just go for it.

the prompts for the fest are all really nice but im not connecting with any of them what do i do 😭😭
hi! it happens, if you don't connect with any of the prompts and cannot think of a self-prompt, we can try some brainstorming! (maybe on dms, but i'll have to tell you to wait a little in this sorry x_x)

could you do a bingo or something like that for us with a creative block that could use a push that isn't a big responsability like a prompt??

hi! can i send a prompt even if i'm not sure which pairing i want to?
Hi! yes you can! you can mark it as any, leave open space for members you arent sure (ie: yh/wy/any). you can also leave it as a note saying that you would like that x, y or z to be part of the prompt, etc etc.

hi! there's no dumb questions! and yeah, you're right! for self-prompts you can just mark "self-prompt" at the claiming form.

Hello! From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong), those who just want to send a prompt can't be part of this fest, unless they're a artists and/or a writer?
Hey! The rule of only artists and writers applies only for those that wish to sign-up and create a work (fic/fanart). If you wish only to give a prompt to the fest, you don't have to be an artist, a writer or even sign-up, as prompting is open for everyone.
