After Suguru defects, Gojo is forced into marrying a woman of his status and produce heirs. This way, the elders and the higher ups, thought they got rid of the "one and only" problem. Gojo turns into a bitter and negligent men and parent, he isn't an aggressive one tho, he doesn't even mistreat his children. He complies every monetary and basic need, but that's all they get. In fact he doesn't address them at all, his students are closer to him than his children are. So Gojo's children grow with this distant and cold figure of his own father. It's not something they resent, his father is just like that, always been, but they are not necessarily in peace with it. So that's why they follow Gojo one day, he's supposed to go on one of those long missions, the ones that make him disappear for months in an arrow. And at first it's just like that, he travels to a far countryside to investigate and exterminate a mysterious powerfull curse, but then when he beats the curse he doesn't exterminate it. Instead he drags the corpse of the dead curse to an old temple. And this is when the world stops spinning at all for Satoru's kids. A monk greets him, he doesn't look like Buddhist monk at all, his long inky lustrous hair, his delicate fine features, the way he smiles at their father crinkling his phoenix eyes and blushing prettily. Their father offers him the curse and the monk... does something that could only be described as absorbing it? What he follows next, it's beyond words for the kids. Their father calls this monk by /his name/, he doesnt do that with his mother. Then he pushes his blindfold up and then he /smiles/, he goes -almost runs- to the other man's arms and hugs him. Holds him up and spins around, and they /laugh/ together and then they stick their forehead together. Then the monk even dares to lean down and kiss him. And it feels so intimate, the kids feel like they are trespassing a dangerous private zone. The kids didn't believe this man could enjoy intimacy like this.
Their world starts to crumble down when the couple are interrupted by the sound of a shrill, it's an excited, sharp and joyful sound. It comes from a toddler, dark fluffy hair and icy blue sharp eyes, it's like someone grabbed the couple and copied their best features into a brat. Its skin is very pale and its rounded baby cheeks are blotched red.
The couple separates and the brat runs to Gojo's arms and he catches it, holds him, he kisses its cheeks and even laughs. And then with the brat in one arm and holding the monk's waist wit the other he leans down to kiss what it seems a swallowed belly. They just notice this, the oversized gojo-kesa hides perfectly the monk's body.
It's a disgusting scene. Gross and improper. And overall bizarre
This is the same man, their father, who has never hold them even when they were babies. This man who addresses them distantly, by name, yes, but that only feels like he's doing it bc that's what it's expected of. This man who never showed any kind of positive reaction when he was near his family, never showed any sort of affection for his rightful wife, never even look at his own heirs with any emotions. Sometimes, the children believed, he was disgust when they addressed him as father. And it made sense, until now. It made sense that the strongest sorcerer and most powerful man in the world was like that. Above of any and all emotions. Almost as if he had never been destined for such lowly sentiments. A man who could have anything in the world, does not need love. So he doesn't know affection.
Yet this same cold, distant and hard God was here. Far away from his household, his bloodline and legacy, kneeling down like a common down for a pregnant whore and a brat?
How could a heresy like this in the world exist? Even when the children would know how to difference the tricks of a curse, they doubted they eyes this was real.
"What are you doing here" that man, Gojo Satoru, said catching sneaking his own children.
The monk was also looking at them, with an expression that could only be identified as an old known horror.
"Daddy?" the brat in Gojo's arms said and it was only looking at /their/ father.
