I honestly think Jack is more focused on trying to 'save' Gabe than wanting to kill him. It was already established that the way Jack wanted to always defend and see the good in Gabe ended up hurting him in the end, so with that and his martyr complex, it makes more sense for the character if Jack doesn't want to accept how Gabe is acting now.

Oh absolutely!! I agree 100%!! It's mainly just a thing of like if it came down to the line, I think Jack would still fight back cause Gabe is trying to kill him. As much as it would hurt him to kill Gabe, he'd still defend himself.

And even still I completely think he'd do everything he can to save Gabe, I completely agree.

My boyfriend and I have written little scenarios of Jack basically accepting Overwatch's help to get a hold of Gabe and bring him in.

It goes with my original thread of how conditioning and brainwashing actually works, how in Gabe's case, it's not fear-based, but anger/pain-based. So it would take months for Overwatch, and specifically Jack to try and break through the years of pain and conditioning that Talon does to their operatives. It's so so fascinating to me and I want to see their development so so so badly
