Is there already a BloomBoltshipping day? Is there is, when is it? I kinda want one
I'm writing a one-shots series book and I take so long to write, they are long chapters and the new ones might be too. I have so many new ideas and a request coming up, but I have an idea for a multi-chap book with the same pairing, do you think I should start and just try to balance things out?
Favorite pieces of soundtrack?
aside from types, do you have a favorite kind of pokemon? like by evolution family, design style, themes, common move between them, etc?
favorite hot pocket flavor?
Can you expand on your thoughts on May in detail?
Excluding the Journeys gang, what other of Ash's companions are you particularly fond of?
Is there any way you handle or cope with "writing blocks" when or if you have them?
I usually take time off of writing and as I take this time and do other things, my itch to write comes back. It can be tough, but if it's just writer's block and not burning out, I feel like it's a good idea to just push through it. You can always go back and correct or make improvements, but if you can't even put out that first draft, it can be trouble!
Are there any more AshxChloe stories or one shots on the way. Champions confidant is your best work IMO.
I would redirect you to @PlushMaker400 and her story as seen here: https://twitter.com/PlushMaker400/status/1534366887907364864?t=MjZTfV-5_v2Qu0nEV9MPXA&s=19
What Pokemon would you have in real life if you were to own one and why?
When pokemon journeys ends do you want Ash to stay as the protagonist or would you rather see him be a recurring character next series and have Chloe, Goh, or even a new character as the protagonist for the anime?
If I am allowed to wish for the moon? I think it would be best if Ash retires from here. I just don't see how they could continue to escalate his growth after being 8th Strongest (or even higher soon!) in the World. Everything else will by default feel smaller. This would be like after winning the Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku went back to fighting random thugs on the street and struggled with them. It just doesn't feel good narratively.
That said... I 100% expect them to send Ash to Espania Region for a more typical Regional Series set up after this series, and we'll be saying farewell to Goh and Chloe. So it goes.
What are your opinions/thoughts on Goh and Chloe when you saw them making a debut at the start of the series?
I thought Goh was interesting, being such a clearly designed foil to Ash. He was definitely #3 of the three for me at the start, but I think things shifted as the series continued. You just can't not root for the guy. He struggles with his anxiety, he doesn't know what to say part of the time, and you can feel his bitterness and frustration even as he puts a good face on it. He's not as good a person as Ash is, pure bean that he is. He's got faults and foibles and vices and still he rises above himself to become the sort of character you really want to cheer on to success. The fact that he's struggling to keep up with Horace and Gary while Ash has been winning decisively every time he's been challenged since his 'loss' to Rinto just makes me want to cheer for our underdog Chaser that much more! These are all the feelings I want to put in "One Who Chases" - it's a story about Goh first and foremost. While I do put Vermilionshipping in it, it's about him, a story where he is the hero.
What, then, of our other side of that pairing? Chloe was the most interesting one to me at the beginning, being a mysterious sort of character who seemingly didn't like Pokémon. I went through about three or four fan theories about why she was this way before I just accepted what was on the surface - she deals with society's pressures that want her to be a certain way when she just wants to be her own way. Her arc of self discovery isn't quite as dramatic in tone as Goh's story can be, but I feel like a proud parent, being one of the earliest people I know of to be in her corner and watching her grow into prominence was amazing. She's grown up so much since she was leaving Ash on the stairs, and I love every one of her episodes. She is my daughter and I will protect her.
Favorite and least favorite writing trope?
Would you like to see a return to the tried and true “collect badges and compete in league” formula or something similar to JN for the Gen 9 anime? Do you think they will make one of Ash’s companions the Gen 9 protags or a original character like Goh? -Shako
I honestly don't believe there's a way they could make a badge quest not boring. We have grown so far past a badge quest that it's difficult to say it would be interesting to watch. Why would a set of Gym Leaders challenge Ash at all? Better to continue to give him fresh challenges. Though... it's hard to say how you can escalate past this...
I hope Goh stays but if it's a single region unlike JN, then it's probably back to game characters.
I believe I've asked you before, but, are you a fan of any Dragon Quest games?
