Definitely consider looking at TF2 engineer singing Out of touch again when you feel like it, or post the full audio and you might be surprised how good of a reception it gets.
Whatever you do, have fun doing it!
Well I'm happy you enjoy the silly stuff I made :) Thank you ! I've recently found some other SVC systems that might work better on the small dataset, and I think I might try to use them later on. I have some bigger priorities at the moment, but the singing TF2 covers are definitely still in my mind
TF2 engineer singing Out of touch just sounds so incredibly perfect, I love it. Have you made a full version of it or just the 25 seconds?
I actually have a full version of the audio that secretly exists, but it isn't as good as that 25 seconds I posted LMAO. I thought I would try to train up the model for awhile and see if i could get it better because I don't think the existing one is gonna meet people's expectations. But TBH I'm happy you still like that little clip after this much time
how do u feel about that engineer paladins line where he says "see u later pretty boy"
YOUR TWITTER LAYOUT... It's so aesthetic wow using your mii and the pose selection thingy is brilliant
i simp for tarou respectfully
Hello Hello~ What was your happiest day recently?
make the full version of engi out of touch
hey are you normal about engineer's gunslinger hand. i am very normal about engineer's gunslinger hand
I'm glad you asked, because I have opinions LMAO.
I like to think that part of the reason Engi replaced his hand with the gunslinger is because of the fallibility of his human hand.
Mostly because I have carpel tunnel from drawing so much and often think that a robot hand would be more convenient LMAO. I think if people were to ask him, he would give them a blasé, practical answer like that.
But also, the blurb implies that a larger part of this is out of reverence for his grandfather.
We don't get to see Engi interact directly with his dad or grandpa much, other than the time the TFC mercs fight the TF2 ones in the comics I guess. There are some pictures of younger Dell with his dad looking happy and stuff. But I also get the impression that maybe there is a lot of pressure that comes with having a dad like that. I'm certain there's some kind of baggage that comes with being a Conagher, considering their willingness to fight each other. And fatherly baggage seems to be kind of a theme in TF2, huh? LMAO.
I actually have this idea that The Engineer's fatherly affectation comes from a subconscious wish to be more like his dad. He doesn't have any children or a family, far as we know, so it's interesting that he is always pushed as a fatherly figure.
He acts especially fatherly to Pyro, but Pyro is probably around the same age as him, so it's sort of funny. The people around him might find it condescending, even.
He's also willing to fight/even kill his dad, though. It makes me think that maybe, as a kid, Engi held a lot of reverence for his dad and grandpa. But when he grew older, he found out more about them that made him embittered towards them. Maybe being an engineer for Mann co wasn't what he thought it was growing up. Maybe instead of reverence, it's more like competitiveness, and when he calls his grandfather "brilliant" there's a bitter edge to it. But who knows, I mostly just made that up
I want to thank u for involving me into Diff SVC with your TF2 engineer covers. Even you inspired me to make my own TF2 engie model, but i feel like it's trash compared to yours (even to the first version you had). So, I was wondering if you were willing to share tips w/me in how to properly train him. I'd appreciate that <3
Aw, well thank you ! I saw your other ask offering paying me— that is not necessary at all. My engineer model has the following data: His original voice lines, the Meet Your Match voice lines, the Paladins crossover voice lines. All together, I think that comes out to around 20 minutes. I then added an extra 5 minutes of generated voice lines from Uberduck TTS (just reading random wikipedia pages). I didn't add any more data than that, because I found that more advanced models tend to remove the accent of the original voice. You can make as much artificial data as you want and it will become smoother, but for me I wanted to prioritize the character and I didn't want it to be a perfect recreation of the voice actor because it's a jinriki. My model is still pretty glitchy honestly, but it helps to also pay attention to the Tensorboard. I don't fully understand how to read it, but I have attached an image trying to explain the val/mel chart, which is what I use to judge the quality. Throughout training, your model will go up and down in quality, and it's possible to also overtrain it and actually make it worse. You can usually tell that you've reached peak quality when you hit a peak that is suddenly really high, and it doesn't get up to that height again even a long time after that. My engineer model stopped somewhere around 69-72k i think. With a model that's so few minutes, it will probably stop around that time too. I hope that helps
give taiga all my love and affection but also spit on her and pull her hair for me
how do i still constantly see ur ass on the tl when i unfollowed
I'm sorry for my strange question but how would you describe Shiki and Tarou's relationship? (it's just that a while ago I saw that you did art for them 2 and I think they look cute together!)
Don't worry, it's not strange ! I always joke that everyone else knows they are dating except for them LMAO.
Basically they are a couple, but they haven't admitted their feelings to each other in the canon timeline.
The short version is, Shiki is an immortal nonhuman alienish thing. Tarou is a human that reincarnates, and every reincarnation she falls in love with him again.
I have this really old graphic i made about it, i was gonna put it on a website
