So, we know that names give you power over somebody.

Once you have ... claimed someone, do you find yourself remembering their names or are they as expendable as their owners.

I'll remember the names of a select few of my more special... "friends". However, it's dangerous to keep it floating around openly. Just as easily as I can take it, other faeries can take it, too, or their friends or family can take and give it back to them. Thus, I've got two options if I plan on keeping said "friend" around for longer than a day or so.

1.) I can just get "rid" of it completely and make them nameless. This is the best option if I only wanna mess around with someone for a week or so before eating them. Nobody can take or take back their name if they don't even have one anymore. :3 However, I do lose some of my control over them if I do that. (I've got other ways to gain control over them though, via gifts, giving them something to eat or drink in my realm, etc.)

2.) I can go a little farther than #1 and give them a NEW name that only I know of. :3 This is the default option for those who can do something special for me -- for example, if someone has a pretty voice or can play and instrument, it's not uncommon for me to keep them for longer than a week just to sing or play for me. <3 I don't lose ANY control over them in this case. In fact, my "gift" to them gives me even more power over them. >:3 Of course, once I've become bored with them or they've grown useless, I simply take back the name and expend them to fill out my shape, like all the others. <3
