I have an idea for a zk story, or well, many ideas, but one of the ones I was most excited to tell was the following: It is supposed to be about an omegaverse but something similar to the middle ages or something like that, in which in Noxus the crown prince and omega Shieda Kayn was going to be crowned king but he couldn't because despite having already finished his birthday When he came of age, he was not yet married nor did he have any heir in case he died, so Swain did not carry out the coronation to keep the position of king for longer until he got rid of Kayn, but in one way or another he knows the general. commander of the Ionian troops and falls in love with the one who was an alpha and that was supposed to be the type of concept of the story but I have no idea how to develop it, give me a hand pls

I don't know too much about the Alpha/Omega stuff, personally. But maybe Kayn could eventually defect from Noxus once he sees how bad Ionia has it?

What do you think Zed's favorite candy is? Also, I'm pretty sure Kayn would eat everything but the raisins in trail mix and leave Zed with all the raisins.

I always headcanoned that Zed has a sweet tooth. I imagine he would like simple sweets, Things like merengue cookies and mochi. Contemporary candies I think he would like are plain m&m's and kit kats.

Kayn, I don't think would like sweets, but he would love spicy food, making a show of dumping hot sauce in his soup. He would eat shit like hot cheetoes and takis.

Neither of them enjoy rasins.

what is the point of the pairing in zk for you ?

The deep intimacy and trustthey have in one another. Zed had so little trust in anyone and met Kayn, who was willing to trust him nearly blindly. I like how Kayn deeply admires Zed, how Zed was the only person in his life that hadn't given up on him. Them finally finding, in each other, something that had been denied from them their entire lives.

I like how subtle their would be, how they would express their intimacy through vulnerability. Zed probably wouldn't verbally say "I love you" to Kayn, but he would show Kayn where he keeps his hidden blades, and allow Kayn to know his body's weak-points, the equivalent of a cat showing its belly. Or how Kayn would show his love by putting Zed before everything, even himself, even willing to set aside his ambitions for Zed.

If Zed wanted to, he could manipulate Kayn and truly break him; If Kayn wanted to, he could kill Zed in his sleep. But they won't do that, because they are each other's everything.

Out of these, which AU do you like more? ZK modern AU just regular guys. Or mafia AU. Or Heartsteel AU????

Honestly, I really like a modern AU where they are just regular people. Since they are such a fantastical concept in canon, seeing their characters toned down to a mundane AU is refreshing. It also proposes a challenge; how can you make these characters still feel like themselves when you take their superpowers away?

i would give my left nut for a fanfic where the regions of runeterra were like europe post-middle age, y’know, with the families fighting to see who gets to be the king, arranged marriages for power, balls and masquerades and shit that rich people did back in the day.
imagine, the kingom of noxus and the kingom of ionia, after centuries upon centures of endless bloodshed, decide to make peace and join forces, becoming the most powerful nation the world has ever seen. For that to happen, the two families have to be bonded by a marriage. Swain then sends in a bunch of noblepeople from Noxus (idk, im on ambien and it’s arealdyb a miracle im not typing everything qrong) to Ionia. There, they meed the prince

the prince is zed

zed chooses kayn

they get married

they fall in love

and they guide the kingom of Noxinia (or w/e) into peace and prosperity.

Better yet if Zed wasnt a prince. since whoever married Kayn would have control over the entire Noxian military, and it wasn’t half bad that kayn is just insanely beautiful. So when Swain announces that Kayn has reached the age for marrjage, he calls upon the candidates to present themselves. Ionia sends King Kusho’s son, Shen, a wealthy nobleman named Sett etc. (Zed is there bc Kusho wanted him to make sure, in the case of an ambush, Shen would be able to escape). Anyway, other candidates are sent like fucking uhhhhh garen?? lucian?? sylas?? ezreal??? idk i just want to see those characters goofing around trying to impress kayn.
obv in the end Kayn falls in love w Zed, leaving the one he had been made to choose (Shen) heartbroken (i want thjs hunk yo suffer). Kayn and Zed elope or something (maybe they just assassinate Swain and Kayn becomes king and makes it legal to marry a commoner lmao im on ambien)

I am tempted to try my hand at something like this. It's an interesting AU idea.

Also, "I want this hunk to suffer" killed me.

I'm having a very shitty headcanon, Kayn was expecting a daughter from Zed and for fear that Zed would discover and despise him, he fled from the order and had her and raised her for a few months away from there, since Shieda left the order and most of them considered a traitor he was no longer under zed's guardianship, kayn was just someone else from Ionia and he was persecuted (The kinkou maybe idk order) penalized for his crimes (They executed him lol, he was very weak and no longer wanted more conflicts to live in peace with her baby), but before he abandoned his daughter hoping she could survive, she was adopted by peasants who raised her and made her join the Kinkou, something ironic since she does not know her true origins
