What's funny is I do like wriolette but I can't STAND neuvillotters and that entire side that I find myself agreeing with nvfri shippers more. Can other shippers stop embarrassing me with bad meta about coding and ship bibles, it's giving Johnlock Conspiracy and Klance fandom.
I would be neutral on n/w were it not for That Side (though i was always a teensy bit miffed just how much n/w art flooded the neuvi tag even before 4.1 dropped). I suppose sharing a fandom space with weirdos is just what comes with a large fandom, but it's extra worse if those weirdos also happen to be VERY loud.

Criticizing the writing of Fontaine is fine but exclusively blaming Furina for being an "incompetent leader" while ignoring Neuvillette's involvement as her co-ruler bc he's the other half of your shitass yaoi makes it very obvious you just want to dump on Furina bc you're pissy people are calling Filler Character #32 mid.

Fontaine doesn't lack compelling queer ships they just decided to focus on the most boring one because tall white men yada yada and they are mad they didn't get the Hkvh treatment. Wriothesley has more sexual tension and narrative parallels with Lyney.
Wri0ney is soooo fun like I don't care too much about Wrio or Lyney individually but the ship kinda slaps

Yup, he's not raising/being a caretaker to anyone lol
The Melusines do canonically consider him their "ideal father" and Neuvi is very fond of them, but they're are also functionally adults. They have their own houses and jobs and have been self-sufficient before they were even brought to Fontaine.

Arle would be fine if she was a bad guy and not just another Yae level girlboss who just "hates the bad men" and is bait for mean girl radfem twitter to use as their icons when they bully ppl over not enough wlw fics on ao3 (as they sand down arlefuri to be another uwu fic like every other yuri ship in this franchise)
It would have already helped if she did anything of substance in AQ rather than her only actual contribution being that she gave us the tidbit about Furina "not seeming like a god at all" which the Traveler should've been able to intuit on their own given they have met more than one god themselves.
And the few things she DID do either do not get treated as they should (her aborted assassination attempt on Furina is all but forgotten bc Traveler literally does not seem to give a shit about it) or are vague enough for ppl to interpret in a way that makes her look good (her grooming orphan children into loyal but disposable soldiers gets sanded down to "uwu protective Father taking care of her kids that she loves very much")

I don’t get how people can be so insecure about their ship that they spend most of their time lying about how it’s implied, tall fontaine mlm fans don’t even talk about their canon dynamic they just make things up, fight nvfr shippers, or take other ships dynamics and put it on w/n. i don’t ship tall sumeru mlm either but i can admit when a ship i don’t like is implied, it doesn’t make my non implied ships less fun 😭
Yeah, modern fandom ppl seem to have this obsession with their ship being the one "intended by the creators". I guess it's partially bc of self-validation and partially so they can "look down" on rival ships (bc those silly other ships aren't ~intended by the creators~, everyone should definitely ship MY obviously superior and implied ship instead. What do you mean people ship for fun and not bc something is going to be/could be canon??? 😡)

I agree, I ship m/m ships that aren't remotely implied. But I can still point and laugh at people making up shit to to proclaim their ship as "implied" when it's not. Like just ship it bc you vibe with it, not every ship needs to be Intented By The Creators or whatever

Technically we don't know yet if they did wimp out on her evilness but tbh my hopes aren't high with how her involvement in the AQ was handled. I'm going to wait for concrete dialogue leaks of her SQ for the final verdict tho
