hi!! what if we don't have any socmeds that are public / no account at all?
It's acceptable if you have no public social media accounts as long as you have a discord, which will be our primary method of communicating with the anthology contributors and collecting works, and still submit a portfolio of your samples for evaluation.

Hi! Sorry if this is silly but what's the difference between submitting your portfolio and submitting your works? I've never submitted before to a zine with a portfolio!
A portfolio is a folder with a collection of your works all stored together. This helps the mods evaluate your work all in one place!

hi! I'm new to anthologies and stuff so what do page artists do and what do spot artists do? whats the difference?
A page artist will contribute a full page illustration with a background based on the story from the writer they are paired up with. Spot artists will also be paired up with a writer and contribute smaller illustrations based on the story without background. (Think chibis, headshots, busts/portraits, etc.)

For the NSFW anthology, I assume that NSFW is needed for that. If we're applying to both SFW and NSFW, can we put the samples in the same portfolio or do they have to be separate? Are there different requirements for the NSFW vs. SFW? Is the word count option the same for them?
If you are applying for NSFW, we do ask that you submit at least one NSFW sample. The word count requirements are the same. You can put both NSFW and SFW samples in the same portfolio as long as you label your NSFW work accordingly.

How many people will be accepted for the anthology?
We'll base our number of contributors from the number of applicants we receive for each role - writer, page artist, and spot artist - and aim to have enough to pair up everyone accordingly.

hello! will there be merch + will this be for profit?
There is no merch for the anthology - the only product will be all the stories and accompanying art compiled into a PDF/book format for reading. The PDF will be completely free and open to the public. The mods are considering printing it for physical copies after its release if there is a great enough interest. If that happens, it will be sold to cover the cost of printing and shipping.

Will the Scaramona Anthology be SFW or NSFW? :3
This is undecided at present. The results of the interest check will help determine whether NSFW content will be included. If it is, it will be in a separate publication from the SFW one.

Currently the plans are for digital only. If there is enough demand after the fact, a physical version will be considered.

as a contributor, will the content submitted have to be "new" content, as in never posted to any platform previously, or can it content that's been posted before with new content added alongside it?
The content should be new, i.e. it has not been posted onto another platform previously. Current WIPs that have had snippets shared are acceptable, but the finished product should be for the anthology.

At present there are no plans for the next ScaraMona Week while the anthology project is ongoing.

Any guess/prediction for the continuation for US? Will our scrmn get reunion?
Since Unreconciled Stars established important world-building information about constellations, fate, and the possibility of the sky being fake, it's very likely they'll follow up on this plot thread in the future. This is all directly related to astrology and therefore Mona, so it's a given she will be involved and even the main NPC.
Scaramouche is the only character (that we know of at present, other than perhaps Mona's master and Pierro) that knows something more about the false sky -- it's likely that he will be involved as well. Whether as antagonist or teaming up with the Traveler and Mona remains to be seen!
Of course, as like to believe that there will be a Part 2 with a Scaramona reunion ^^ We'll just have to wait and see what fate has in store ~
