Sure, there's a ???%/Mob difference before the confession arc climax, but after that I don't draw any harsh line between them anymore because that defies the whole purpose behind the series' conclusion. Even before that, they're two aspects of the same character which I usually call Mob. And just like when Reigen does, using "Mob" doesn't mean I'm only adressing one aspect, I mean him wholly. So, same answers! (No, none of Mob has ever done anything wrong in his life, shush.) I love all of him dearly. <3

I think their dynamic is interesting, but I am not much of a multi-shipper & whatever breaks up RMR is not really my cup of tea.
I liked Mogami arc & Mob torture & in some scenarios I can like when it's sexual, but tbh what I like most is when it's over & the OTP Hurt/Comfort time starts lol.
So, MogaMob as a brief interlude to further ReiMob, yes, as an endgame ship (like with all other Mob & Reigen ships) no, regardless of if abusive or with actual feelings.
What I could find more interesting as going on for a longer while would be all three of them together. Mogami & Reigen seem a bit of an underexplored dynamic both in canon & fandom tbh.

Hmh, I'm often not particularly fond of Reigen either, but with him it's sometimes just a matter of interpretation. Like, I can often see where in canon ppl are drawing from when they write Reigen, but some of the conclusions are simply not for me/different from my own interpretation, or yeah, like you say maybe lacking nuance, but that's not a unique Reigen problem imo (& one I'm surely faulty of myself), while with Mob it's often things I can't explain from canon at all.
Maybe I'm also a bit less harsh on Reigen because I often enough see what the anti side does to him & there he's so much worse off...

There is a MR I think... I might like... But I've only read snippets. I liked those snippets. But I'm really hesitant to get into ongoing long fics of any kind because I always end up with something that makes me drop them after all. (Regardless of ship or dynamic. Literally, there is one single multichap I have followed & NOT dropped, but it's not finished so who knows what will happen.)
Maybe it was also too much to say I didn't really love any MR so far. More true is, I loved a few MR fics up until they fucked, then they often seem like different ppl and I nope out. (But yeah, again, RM has some reoccuring 'issues' all the same especially with nsfw, too - Reigen too sexy, Mob without agency etc - I'm just less sensitive to those & that's on me.)
Still agree that nsfw aside, RM is more canon-oriented, though.

Because overall, I agree.
It's usually Mob's portrayal in MR I grapple with more, yeah. Not because he's made to be muscular, that part has a hook in canon & his training is an important part of his growth, so wanting it to bear fruit is something I can get behind.
But really most of it seems to come down to stripping Mob of everything Mob, only to create a stereotype around that aspect. And let's be honest, if we have to pick a stereotype, he'd def have to be a himbo - he's already a little dense & very kindhearted, just the physique is lacking, so...

The ending of the show is really important to me personally & more often than not MR strays in the exact opposite direction of all that ending tells us, which makes it unenjoyable for me. So yeah, absolutely agree, even if set in the canon universe and not explicitly in AUs like Ageswap etc, MR seems much more often like an exploration of canon divergence!
And that's fine ofc, fanwork is inherently wish fulfillment territory, but personally I'm just more interested in the expansion of their specific canon & that's much more easily to find in RM.

Which saddens/frustrates me sometimes, because I don't hate Mob topping at all & I don't hate Reigen bottoming for Mob but the execution puts me off most times.

That said, I'm also just incredibly picky anyway, though. Which goes for both RM & MR, I've read more than one RM fic where Reigen suddenly got a little too stereotypically (<- keyword) sexy for my taste, it just happens less than in MR (& in MR the "sexy"-curse hits both of them, in different ways) & I'm def more lenient with it in RM too, simply because RM still usually has tropes I can anjoy for the horny at least.

Gonna focus on actual serious arguments.

And well, Reigen taking weeks of going throught it before finally apologizing for smth that really needed apologizing is a whole big plot point.
I think post seperation-arc he has learned from it & it isn't as extreme, but I think he will still need his time. I also think that Mob is very patient and will treat him more distantly throughout it, but never be mean or unforgiving.
I think by the end of canon Mob has become pretty good at recognizing when an apology is due - both from others & himself. Depending on what an argument was about, I can see Mob either apologizing right away, or being kinda mopey about the realization that he was in the wrong and needs to apologize & thus procrastinating it somewhat until he manages to get over himself.
Just the same, I don't see Reigen being very resentful about arguments. He certainly can be incredibly petty, but I see that happening more when the argument was about smth that isn't so serious, or when he himself is in the wrong. I think when Mob genuinely hurt or insulted him etc. that isn't the case.
tl;dr - the one in the wrong will apologize first, but it might take a while.
If they have an argument where they're both kinda right kinda wrong, I think Mob is more likely to make the first step, but he will want Reigen to see his side too. Most cases, it works out.

Deidara apologizes earlier, because Sasori barely ever apologizes at all.
He does it with a roll of his eyes he doesn't even try to hide & it has a fair chance of making things worse. Argument is in the past, he lives in the moment - they had plans today, didn't they? He's very forgiving, but he rather just drop it all than talk about it or apologize sincerely.
Well, he's forgiving with most topics. If someone insults something that is important to his very core, he is so incredibly vindictive. Even if it was never meant as an insult.
I think they are very prone to miscommunication & one of my favorite situations is actually Deidara feeling deeply insulted by Sasori and Sasori being real with him. I love when it goes: Sasori says something that cuts deep, even though he never tried to -> Deidara is consumed by unreasonable anger near the point of desperation -> Sasori literally or figuratively grabs Deidara by the collar to lecture him in one way or another. "Your fragile self-woth is not my responsibility." "If you feel insulted by that, improve." or maybe even a generous "If you can't tell this was far from an insult, you don't know me as well as you think you do."
That's Sasori's version of an apology - graciously telling Deidara that he is in the wrong.
Deidara would still be angry first but calm gradually down & come to accept it, if it was a misunderstanding - because he prefers not actually being insulted or ridiculed for the things most important to him. And because I like my illusions of Sasori being the person to actually support him in his own messed up ways, that Deidara comes around to understand & even appreciate.
Anyway, if Sasori is in the wrong, well, they'll both know & that suffices. They will know the other knows, too. Topic dropped, they move on.
(All of this is considering canon where they're simply both far gone. I think in AUs they would still be pretty unhealthy in most cases, but there's potential for somewhat improved communication.)

Jk, most of my disliked hcs are character-specific more than ship-specific, but here's a ship one (yes one, but I took my cahnce to go off about it):

Them getting rid of the nickname "Mob".
Leaving "shishou" behind at some point makes sense, sure, but I've been with my partner for over a decade & if she suddenly decided to ""romantically"" call me by my first name by default, I think I'd strangle her a little. (romantically) The first nickname she ever called me by ("danna", which ironically can also translate to master, lol) was last in unironic use yesterday & that one is much more cringe than "Mob".

It's not like I hate all use of "Shigeo" by Reigen, I don't. I can also do with the use of it being romanticized, even though I personally prefer romanticizing the persistence of "Mob" instead, because that just makes more sense to me from both personal POV as well as from how we see the nickname used in canon.
Even my female versions of Shigeo whether cis/trans are named to make "Mob" persist lmao.

What bothers me is the notion of "Mob" being something negative, which usually is either explicit or implicit whenever the first name vs nickname thing comes up. Oftentimes one or both of them starts disliking it, treating it as something with negative assciations, or a "kid thing" that is a last remnant of a past they want/need to get rid of in order to pursue their mature relationship.
I guess in summary it feels like treating a continous part of their canon with disrespect to me & I simply can't get behind portraying something like that as negative in retrospect. Canon is why we all love them after all isn't it??

Anyway, disclaimer - I'm fully aware it's not that serious! I know for most ppl it's just a "that would be hot" thing, half of the time or more it's literally a "say my name, my real name" while they fuck situation & ppl always have my blessings for any of that, I am not immune to picking kink over canon either, etc.

This is a really hard question for RMR imo!!
I think it goes for both of them that they are mutually more insecure (for very different reasons) at the beginning of their relationship, but also that once they're settled in it neither of them is generally shy to initiate. And they both like kissing.
I think the differences arise when it comes to PDA. That's limited while Mob is underage anyway (just Reigen's usual hands all over Mob, sure), but I think once Mob turns 18 he has a 'so what' attitude & would lose all care for kisses in public, which would definitely surprise Reigen, to say the least, because he on the other hand is much more worried about their obvious, visible age gap. Mob doesn't care. What are they gonna do? "You'll ruin my business, Mob."

Super easy for SasoDei because oral fixation boy can't keep his mouth to himself, ever. 🙄 Canon Sasori will not stop with the "useless, I can't feel that, it means nothing to me" talk (touch-starved liar) but regardless of AU, he will usually take long to reciprocate. Him initiating is almost always a surprise. Deidara feels like he won the lottery every single time.

I do have the occasional angst craving that I put into "not hc, just a tangent, a possibility, an au if you will" territory & I'm aware for most ppl that might not be a difference lmao

My angsty fav is probably Reigen simply being reasonable. The bittersweetness of them both knowing their feelings are mutual, but Reigen not letting it happen, ever. "you have a teenage crush, you're too young to know" to "I'm too old for you, this is inappropriate" to "we might be both adults now, but I'm not the right choice" while Mob can't make sense of how Reigen can so stubbornly believe that, when he's been his choice since so damn long. When he knows that Reigen feels the same.
Plus, I think they'd never lose contact. Reigen would take Mob's kids for weekends & treat them like his own, hurting that they aren't & at the same time happy because they make him feel like he made the right decision - Mob makes such a great husband & dad & if Reigen hadn't denied him for so long, he'd never become either. Reigen doesn't even allow himself the thought that a different life could've possibly made Mob just as happy. Maybe happier even, who knows.
Mob still frequently wonders. He's dedicated to his family but whenever they're together he wonders how it would be right now if Reigen had at some point accepted his feelings. (They're muted now, but never fully gone...)

Very normal of course, I love it in either direction. I do think it comes easier to Reigen, but not necessarily more naturally.

I feel like Reigen is very aware what he does, while I see Mob as a bit clueless about kinks etc in general. Though, clueless ≠ all around naive. He's aware what he likes, but often not aware his preferences are unique and personal & not just what sex is always like for everyone. So he might not recognize kinks as such.

Anyway, Mob does cock worship without being aware, is what I'm saying. I love first time scenarios, idk, it's one of my always go-tos & part of the reason for that is because I love thinking of all the different ways it could go & being unable to pick a fav!

For like ... post-canon when thinking abt what I want for them (= a happy working relationship) I do like all the slow, cautious, long-winded negotiation-heavy build-ups. And I mean it's fun because it'll inevitably mean sexual tension or outright frustration.
Also depends a little on definition of first time, any sex or specifically penetrative, because I think the time inbetween could also stretch so frustratingly long for both both sides~
Even then it could go so many different ways though!! And frustratingly long could be half a year or three. Because even though I love horny Reigen who can't wait any longer, I do think if he really had his mind set on it & was convinced it mattered, he would manage to wait. And he would make Mob wait, even if he hated it, too.
Also, office sex is undoubtedly hot, but I prefer that for not-first-times if it's supposed to be a good one khdfjlf The best place is Reigen's shabby little apartment of course. Some fuck-or-die scenario first times can definitely be so incredibly, painfully good. But I do prefer them with pre-existing tension, instead of one/both of them really wouldn't want that under any circumstances. Like a forced feelings realization.
& then of course there's the awful kinda scenarios deep in thinking-via-dick territory, but those are not 'preferred', so I'll end it here :D
