Modern-ish AU where a little, aspiring hero, child!Yuuji came across a dying grown man Sukuna, who up to that point had suffered a hard, painful, miserable life, and rescued him and tended him back to health and just showed him all kinds of kindness that Sukuna never experienced before and thought was impossible for someone like himself to receive. So, of course Sukuna fell in love, and he felt more determined than ever to achieve his dreams and one day marry the boy who stole his heart ❤️❤️
Years later, Sukuna was quickly rising up the ranks of the villain world with his goal of conquering everything, and he planned to take his beloved Yuuji as his wife once he finally does so. In the middle of one of his crime sprees, Yuuji (now a rookie hero) arrived, and Sukuna was absolutely overjoyed to be reunited with him…… until Yuuji opened his mouth and started snarking at him and rolling his eyes at him and lecturing him to change his ways the exact same way he would do for any other villain
Because while Sukuna remembered and thought about Yuuji ever since the day they met, to Yuuji, him saving Sukuna was just another Tuesday for him, and Sukuna is just one among the countless people he saved and has now forgotten about
Heartbroken and enraged, Sukuna would definitely decide that, while he still loves Yuuji with all of his heart, he still absolutely needs to teach that nasty little brat a lesson he’ll never forget before he wifes him up…..😏

Yuuji would be such a cute hero, aiming to be number one. Sukuna, villain name "King of Curses" is the world's top enemy. Yuuji vows to stop him.
And when they meet up, and Sukuna realizes Yuuji doesn't recognize him, he burns with rage. They fight, Sukuna going easy on a very determined hero Yuuji. Yuuji's clothes rip, as he gives it his all. Sukuna can see the marks and scars on his body.
Yuuji has been working himself like a sacrifice. His skin isn't soft like it once was. Sukuna is done playing their game. He convinces himself that the hero world must have brainwashed Yuuji. They trained him to damage himself like that for the sake of the greater good.
They dared use Yuuji as if he wasn't Sukuna's only reason for living.
Sukuna decided then that he'll burn the world down until it's just the two of them. No outside influence will sway Yuuji again. And Yuuji will remember him in time. He will realize that Sukuna was that man he nursed back to health all those years ago. That fate can't be escaped.
