hey mods!! hope you're doing okay and im super excited for this round and have so many ideas for the prompts already ahh. i am curious, though, the prompts seem centered on valentines day and i was wondering how fireworks fit into that for the mods? or am i totally wrong :> love the theme for this month and excited to try some new things ive not before 🫶🏻
Salut! We are doing alright, thank you anon, we hope you are as well. The prompts are somewhat inspired by Valentine's but we tried to centre them more around love and celebration entirely. "Stay" is for Baekhyun's discharge, Valentine's for Valentine's, strawberries was more for the "at home cozy vibe" (birthday + coming home fluff themeing), and fireworks was actually due to a family tradition of Mod 2! For Valentine's, their parent would take them to things such as fireworks shows, fun fairs, and etc so they could celebrate platonic love on Valentine's!
(Of course, authors, you do not need to use these themes if you don't want to!)

look,, before i write another 5k on this fic, would meeting at an after party with one member of a ship trying to make the other jealous before coming to say hello to them and flirting class as a meet cute does this count
Person A has a crush from afar and B knows. B is best friends with A's ex but is pursuing A and A gets jealous he's flirting with someone before B takes him out for a dinner date? Would mods class this as a meet cute

Wait so no superm fests are including that pairing???
Correct. As of Februaey 2023 neither us or superm fest will allow the ship due to 3 years of bullying from some of the shipdom. People have ended up in hospital because of it. When we feel we can ensure safety, we'll look at reinstating Taekai. Until then, starting from February, we wont allow the ship in the fest

For the prompt "Cell phones" can we use pay phones instead?
We're going to say no as pay phones are a separate prompt! Cell/Mobile phones only (or pay phones as long as cell phones also do play a strong part!)

Please sign up with your completed fics first and then DM/email us! The collection will be open from Jan 01 and submissions can be made anywhere between then and the final submission date

not you making the account ot7 the moment you start getting followers
We have cemented that we include all 7 members since the day we set our account up and in the first AO3 post we made, that has been up since the 19th. We aren't going to be having this discussion. Either go to a different event you want to take part in or create your own - literally no one is stopping you. Mods will not be tolerating this

I want to take part in this but I'm uncomfortable with it being OT7 :/
Hi Anon. We totally understand this, however, we will remain OT7. Part of the reason we wanted to be OT7 was the other SuperM event currently being OT6 and they had a lot of feedback of wanting to write for OT7. With that being said, @SuperMFest (https://twitter.com/SuperMFest) have said that we can send people over to them! They're currently on hiatus but will be back at some point in 2023

what does non band member/band member mean?
The "No Band Member/Band Member" prompt refers to any relationship where one member is a SuperM member (or a soloist/etc) and the other person is not - eg manager/idol, doctor/idol and further!

what if superm goes rotational?
SuperMonthly will remain as a fest for Baekhyun, Taemin, Jongin, Taeyong, Ten, Lucas and Mark, regardless of rotational space or not. This event was made for them as a fixed group and whilst there may be the odd event for the rotations, should it come down to SuperM becoming a rotational group, SuperMonthly will remain as an original OT7 event

Hi! We don't, sadly. We were also looking forward to the new rounds and moderation. I'm very surprised they even retweeted us. We'll be trying to reach out and collab/etc with them in the future and we hope they return to us soon!
