here’s a list i threw together on the train..also NOT A BOTHER AT ALL <33 i love these
- tetia has an adorable front tooth gap and she can actually whistle through it
- coco and tartah go bug collecting together (i really want to draw this actually)
- oru and coco help mend clothes in the atelier together, sometimes coco cries a little bit and it used to worry oru at first but now they just sort of let it happen….it reminds her of her mother she just needs to let it out sometimes :’)
- riche puts the snugstone that oru made for all of them inside a little plushie that she holds at night…it’s more comfortable that way for her (when oru found out he did have a small “is this fire safe??!?!” crisis but it was fine)
- aside from magic, agott is ridiculously interested in architecture. from what we’ve seen in panels the tower of tomes seems to be a bit of an odd structure, so i think it would at least partially stem from that

Hello, this may be a long shot but i missed the deadline to submit my letter and i'm almost finished writing it. If i finished it before the end of the day (april 8th) would it be possible to submit it last minute? I understand if its not possible but i wanted to ask anyway as a chance to send her a letter might not come around again in the future.
Hi! thanks for reaching out to me - we are actually going to be opening last minute submissions around the time the letters are going to be sent. Because it’s last minute, it’ll just be for a pdf/document and the letter will be printed without any customisations. The date for this will be in between the 10-17th of April, and I’ll post about it when it’s open, so just keep an eye out and you can’t submit it then :)

do you know where i can find scans of the official english translation? i saw some people posting them but idk where to find them, im planning on writing an analysis thread but i dont really wanna use fan tls for that
hi!! i use the website mangasee to find the wha official translations online for free :) just search the website name + “witch hat atelier” there are others i think but some of them place watermarks on the panels so that’s the one i suggest - also not aware of if i should be posting it online so if someone thinks i should delete this let me know SHFHDFB

man i need to check my retrospring more often it’s been a couple days but!! of course!!! i do have a few (i’ve actually been rereading a lot of the ao3 tag recently). not sure if links work well in here so i’ll just give titles and their writers - my two favourite fics in the tag are Something Reckless by DrMiniPie and ‘you may tell the german college that their honor comes too late’ by magpiesbones (actually i recommend any wha fics by either of these writers they’re both incredible) - fair warning, both these fics are on the angstier side which is what i like but might not be for you so i’ll rec some others too!! To Court a Witch by royalmess is amazing and very cute, Keep This Place Beautiful by bobmoss, ‘homesickness and other matters of the heart’ by unchartedandunknown and ‘for a start’ by calderas are all really lovely too!! i’ll leave it at that for now, happy reading :>

okieee one more of the main girls pair question. Coco and Richeh, how are the vibes? I really wish we got more of them... I think it's intresting how Richeh is also very selfless with her magic in contrast to how selfless Coco is with her magic. But Richeh admires how that selflessness/kindness is apart of who she is and how her magic reflexs her as a person. I also love how Coco is so enthralled with the beauty of Richeh's magic... Wish I could say more but im running out of space whoops
MY TWO GIRLS <33 ive always loved the bond between riche and coco, i think they’re really cute, but also really interesting writing wise. i think riche likes coco’s pure admiration and love for magic, she most likely feels she can relate to it, even if she only finds interest in her own magic - it’s a part of herself that she truly loves and cherishes, hence why she protects it so much. there’s an interesting moment before riche decides she’ll attempt the second test that she glances towards coco, and it’s always been a bit hard to decipher to me, but it made their relationship that much more interesting. i like the moment between them when coco is in riches little…room thing? (idk what it’s called, it’s where all her ribbons are) coco is able to tell her she riche that they have different points of view on magic without ever looking down on her or invalidating what riche feels - it’s a really important moment for their bond to me. overall though, their dynamic is really sweet. interesting foils as well, coco wants to learn about as many types of magic as possible, while riche is the opposite, and yet they both possess a strong attachment to it

if all, if not most, witches make magic to serve others/help others/give to others, if you were a witch what would your magic be? or would you make cool contraptions? or would magic be for youself? or would you be a brimhat :O
oooohhh i love this question. i’d like to think if i were a witch making magic for others i’d be the kind that travels a lot to see all different kinds of people - kind of like what tetia talks about wanting to do. working in a group of travelling witches that create magic for whatever purpose or people they come across sounds amazing. i’d have the brim hat drip though. i would need to look as cool as possible all of the time

ive already asked you about cocotia thoughts so how about richeh and agott's dynamic? (platonic or whatever I just find them intresting ever since the second exam art and I think its criminally underrated no body talks about them!!)
OHHHH MAN them…i think they have a really interesting dynamic, honestly i think the whole second test art is very underrated, specifically that i don’t see people talk about riches character progression during it much (i am also guilty of this. so many things to talk about). her connection with agott is really interesting though, it feels…rocky i think, but only because i find them to be really similar. both riche and agott are driven by an incredibly strong sense of self, while it could be the cause of conflict between them (there are a few tense moments before and during the second test arc), i like think they both have a kind of respect for each other because of it. i’d like to see how they progress through the manga, i can see them working together really really well in the future

oh anon…so many things. there’s always something vaguely witch hat related floating around in my head. last night though i was rereading some of the current arc and i’ve been really picking up on the amount of characters coustas has parallels to - coco obviously, but also qifrey. in the beginning of ch 56 (i think) coustas says “i thought that we were saved, that this time our shitty fate had left us alone” - i think his determination to break the chains of his fate is very reminiscent of qifrey. it makes me very interested and excited to see qifrey’s potential reaction to the situation coustas is in. while coco and tartah have a big hand in it, i can imagine qifrey playing an important role later on too. lots of coustas thoughts lately…ty for basically asking me to ramble JSFHSH it’s my favourite past time

Hello, I was wondering something about wha and since you're extremely knowledgable about the manga I thought you might have an answer! Do you know if there exists some sort of architectural plans of the atelier? Because I have trouble visualising where the stairs are and where they lead to? It's very random aha but thank you anyway!
hi!! ty for asking me, it’s so nice to know someone thinks i’m knowledgeable about wha :0 in terms of canon architectural references or floor plans, as far as i’m aware there shirahama hasn’t made any so far - the best we have is views of the atelier from the outside and putting manga panels in context etc!! i do find it confusing to where exact rooms are and what their purpose is as well honestly - i think there was someone that was collecting any reference of the atelier layout for a minecraft build but i'm not sure on the progress of it
