Seeing very biased reactions makes me wonder if people are reading the same fic as me. This isn’t a lighthearted crackfic where betrayal is resolved with just a few words. You made it extremely clear how deeply Yoongi loved Jimin and how serious he was about him before he left. They were together for FIVE YEARS, Yoongi was completely devoted and then Jimin ditched him in the most painful way possible. Yoongi is an intense person, he wasn’t able to just “move on” or whatever from that type of heartbreak. Also, not everyone is the same, and for some people, material success doesn’t matter if you have to sacrifice your loved ones to get it. Yoongi said it himself that he didn’t even remember or enjoy his tour because he was so miserable over Jimin leaving him. It wasn’t what he would have chosen for himself so he doesn’t appreciate Jimin’s “sacrifice” as much as some readers want him to. And if anything is clear in your writing, it’s how much Yoongi loves Yeonwoo and adores being his dad. Based on his characterization, it would have been extremely meaningful to him to be there for the birth and the first 1.5 years of his life. So I can’t dismiss that piece of the pain Yoongi has been carrying. You have written so eloquently how much Yoongi has been hurting about losing two things: both the love of his life and that irreplaceable time with his son. It makes perfect sense that this Yoongi needs time to heal. Thank you for writing these complex characters with deep and realistic emotions. #TeamYoonmin

I think based upon their own experiences, people react a certain way. I'm the writer and I don't think I could pick a side, but I do lean one way sometimes. Also your ask is so thorough omg thank you. This story is complex, like so many of the ones I write, and the characters have complexities as well. There is so much at stake and any decision moving forward won't be a light one!
