How did you get so good at drawing fat? Do you have any recommendations?

Yes, the Morpho series fat and skin folds is a GREAT guide. It's on amazon. Also, learning how to draw basic shape language with characters is very helpful. Don't be afraid to make it "look ugly" for a while as you learn. That goes for anything!
