How do you deal with people who dislike your special interests? Honestly, I feel like people have just gotten to the habit of dunking on anything “cringe” or socially weird, especially on Twitter. I was just wondering if there was a solution for that insecurity or at least some comfort.
I mean, idk dawg... you just gotta like what you like, fuck what other people think... I think anyone participating in "cringe culture" in the year of our lord 2024 is probably just very insecure.
I grew up liking a lot of things that were deemed childish and was bullied a lot for it... but as I grew up into an adult I realized, like literally who cares that I like Sonic the Hedgehog, or Steven Universe or Scott Pilgrim or Sailor Moon (lotta S' in these examples...) I find them super enjoyable and I killed the side of me that cringes because that person was a coward...
Never be ashamed for having fun! If you're not hurting people or causing harm it shouldn't matter!
