And uhh I have so MANY thoughts about book 7 (shocker) spoilers ofc:
I feel like the whole deal with this chapter is about embracing loss or being able to let go. Since last book we explored loss through Idia coping poorly with Ortho’s death in their youth, I think we’ll have that with Malleus’ issue of coping with feeling like everyone is “leaving” him. I predict we’ll see Malleus’ dream and his idealized world and have to see him (like the other housewardens) defeat his overblot. I’d like to think he does this with Idias help. I REALLY want to see Idia talk him down hard like how we saw in glomas with him and Rollo. I also like to think we might see Idia find out Lilia is his online bestie & that Malleus and Idia get to be super friendly together after everything :> They have a lot of similarities to not be able to get along (if Idias complex doesn’t get in the way)
OH ALSO I like to imagine that Idias dream was repeated countless times by Malleus to 1. Keep that boy in dreamstate & 2. So Malleus could slowly perfect his interactions with Idia so that he likes him & befriends him (like when u quick save during a visual novel bonding event) <3
