it's certainly an introduction to vocal synths. it's not that hard to use it but also the quirkiness of the parameters might throw off some people so maybe not? i mean nobody's stopping you from using it like you said it's completely free

probably not but that clearly gets you in a ton of legal trouble if you're earning money from it so most producers have the paid products of course. you could probably make songs with pirated products just don't make money off it I suppose? idk I'm not a lawyer nor do I know anything about most laws I can't really say much about this.
