Personally I think Tanjirou’s parents would adore Kyoujurou, they’d see him as an upstanding young man, a hard working individual and a great friend, and or lover to Tanjirou. It doesn’t make sense to me that Tanjirou’s parents would act such a way, if anything, I feel it’s the other way around, I feel Kyou’s father is the one that takes convincing when it comes to his son marrying anyone ^^
