You sure are spending a lot of money on frivolous things after begging people for all that money for an "emergency" move
I... bought food a couple of times? I went to a bar for my birthday (making sure to grab happy hour prices)? I window shopped and went to a $15 dollar event just so I could meet and talk to another human being in this town?
Not gonna lie, this is pretty hurtful. The money raised went to paying off the deposit for my new apartment, and the cost of the movers; and that was invaluable in being able to move out to a different state in the first place. I have what savings I have set aside to sustain me for a while, to pay for rent and food and internet and phone and healthcare while I find a new job.
The "emergency" part was two-fold; the amount of time I had to find a new place and completely re-set up a whole life, and the situation I was leaving, which I will not elaborate on out of respect to the parties involved.
I am humbled and awed by the support that I received. I did not expect it in the least, and that goal was there as a pie-in-the-sky number; not something I ever dreamed of actually reaching. People coming through the way they did did buy me a little time, and yes; a little wiggle room so I can breathe, and those things are not lost on me.
