Good question! my original reptilian oc was Ash, a grey derg. He was actually based on a rain jacket I was really fond of. I still have it to this day!
Vero's also kind of a weird story. I originally made him up on-the fly as a throwaway character for a vore rp. I was still struggling with the whole "I'm into vore and I don't know what to do about it" issue, so I made him a stereotypical big, hungry dragon. He's evolved a LOT over the years though!
A lot of his features are also based/stolen from marine iguanas, who I think are adorable
