if you use the same account for docs & drive you can create folders on drive and then organise your files like that.
opening the docs app will only show the single files, but if you go through drive first, you'll see all the folders and then it'll switch to docs on its own to open the files.
it's easier and more seamless than it sounds, ahah. it works on all devices the same way!
