'Oil Storm' (2005 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0461695/ ) was poorly done, but it described a future where oil prices jumped in the wake of a hurricane and manner of awfulness ensues. When Katrina came around and things began to drift in that direction, it became more disturbing.

'Gone Girl' (2014) merits a mention ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2267998 ) as its implications run deeper than the story.

I've never seen 'Johnny Got His Gun' (1971 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067277/ ) but like many?most people I've seen the clips Metallica used to make the 'One' video. As ideas it doesn't get much more disturbing that that. youtu.be/WM8bTdBs-cw
