omg yes as a TMA person, i have SO much beef how much of "these cultures accepted 3rd genders" completely ignore how much of those historical 3rd genders were shuffling nonconforming ppl into lower castes

like even the whole "they were revered as oracles" type of shit ignores how much of that was tma ppl like me being perpetually poor and begging for scraps and telling fortunes.
