While there are misogynists in the fandom and in any fandom, I don’t think it’s fair to chalk up the reaction to Ava Max’s reply to that person re the collab to being misogynistic? I thought you would understand that the overprotectiveness isn’t (at least for a good portion of engenes) because of y/n delusions or this need to baby proof the boys at all. She was unprofessional and her diction doesn’t leave much room for doubt that she doesn’t value this collab all that much to be able to throw enhypen under the bus. A lot of things are and have been misogynistic (the reaction to the female dancers, etc.), but not this one. If you’re a fan of her, congrats ig, but it’s kind of wild to think you’re gonna be this quick about being wrong lmao
i definitely tweeted earlier in a moment of frustration not knowing the full extent of what was happening w her tweet and how unprofessional that was of her, and i probably should've clicked on her tweet and scrolled up a little before saying something. STILL. i will say this. i do not think that getting angry at someone on twitter and qrting them to hell telling them they suck and that their boyfriend being the producer is the only reason they even had a shot at the song (this one was a little...) and other terrible things is a great way to handle these sorts of situations. we can in theory express disapproval and defend enhypen without making personal insults and other derogatory remarks :) it never hurts to speak a little more tactfully imo which may have been my mistake earlier lol
