afjkajsdk I JUST SAW THIS IM SO SORRY. but goat, hello!!! <3 i think the first person i saw who made trans akira content was soy and i was like !!! but i dont remember seeing anyone else at the time, the only trans content i saw was trans goro. a big inspiration for me besides soy was actually this fic https://archiveofourown.org/works/23557288 and also the p5 trans week event! i think what drew me to trans akira was just how much i felt it fit with his story and the themes in the game. i was also interested in how it would affect his dynamic with the other thieves and particularly how it might change goro's feelings on him (i can elaborate on this if you want, i just dont want to be too long-winded!) my memory is fairly fuzzy, but i think yusuke was my favorite character when i first played p5 back in 2018. i really liked how eccentric he is and how fun he is in the group dynamic. i wasn't super drawn to akira at first bc i saw him as just a player insert, but once i started seeing him as his own character, i really fell in love with him and his story. tysm for the question!!! <3
