Rune Factory 3 is the best one because you can turn into a sheep. No, but in all seriousness, there is no farming RPG I enjoy playing more than Rune Factory 3. It’s got the perfect balance of everything I love: the farm (duh), lovable monsters to befriend, girls who are just as cute as they are insane, and a masterful grip on top down action RPG combat that is just plain fun. RF4 might mechanically be the superior game here, but RF3 holds a special place in my heart for being the first to really get it right.
