i've been thinking a lot about how the concept of "docudrama" is basically just like me explaining my finance major roommate a basic extremely oversimplified historical backgroud (docu) and then make her read my one-shot rpf fanfic (drama)
HAHA yes I love docudramas bc it's like a mix of exactly what u described ...extremely oversimplified historical and then fanfic on screen as the actors get to be DRAMATIC in their reenactment garbs...I love it when the narrator is like "we don't know exactly went down...but it COULD have been like THIS" like in the Dan Jones Plantagenets edutainment where Henry II physically attacks Henry Jr before cradling him gently like that ilya Repin painting and Richard and Eleanor keep making these longing eyes at each other
