ok so im REALLY into this one historical rpf ship and im rlly crazy abt them but the “fandom” (?) is rlly crazy. if you say ur into them everyone is going to KILL kill you (honestly i get it. it was Very problematic) call out posts and all that stuff BUT on the other hand ughhhhhhhhhh i am so obsessed w them and none of my friends get me either bc 1) my history friends is going to call me crazy bc it’s Problematique (le agegap!!! le unbalanced power dynamic!!!) 2) my Problematique friends don't get the historical details that make it sexy so they're mostly like “oh cool” but they don't get all the sexy politics and religious stuff and 3) a lot of my headcanon came from Extremely obscure russian novel (none of my friends can read russian) but me and this novel disagree on a lot of things so it’s different “verse” for the historical one and the novel one so its’s not like i can just make ppl read it. so yeah someday i will brave enough to unlock my acc to talk abt them but for now i am slowly going insane in solitude😔😔😔✌️✌️. i am SO sorry for this long and incomprehensible rant but i dont know who to say all this to 😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
Omg now you've made me curious what this ship is...but solidarity my friend, I know what it feels like when you've latched onto a juicy dynamic and there's NO ONE to discuss with, double so if you're wary of a "fandom" and their behavior. However I firmly believe that mad Posting is really the way to go about it, even if u don't convert people u can make them intrigued and curious ....making memes and PowerPoints is where it's at. ..it's tough indeed if there's not a "media" to read or watch especially if there's major differences, I'm lucky to have good media but even then I def have my disagreements, such is the nature of historical RPF XD feel free to send more info about it if u like and also hang in there ....antis etc can be intimidating, and for historical subjects I can understand if there's a level of discomfort/etc bc it's zomg Real People, but there will always be freaks out in the world, i promise 💜
