It's alright, but not something I've headcanoned personally! I think that's what's fun about the toon: they probably don't follow the concept of gender/sex in the way that humans do. :3 Boxten is a music box before he is anything else 🎶

While I haven't drawn Boxten yet, a few things come to mind for me 🤔 I imagine a squareish member. Like minecraft xD In your case, maybe a square shaped hole? Haha.
