on the one hand it's not a lot of effort to make one, and if those few followers do have an interest in knowing you (follower count just means more chances for this to happen!) it can be helpful to get to know each other better

buuuut if they don't that can rly be a hit to the ol' self-esteem 🥲

i guess the more useful measure of if it's worth it isn't so much follower count as it is interactions from a consistent bunch of folks
