Tell me about one favorite line you heard from a book/movie/tv show/etc..?

If fate could have tell me in advance, that I would met such a person, could have I chosen to meet her a little earlier? For a long time afterwards, I would think of that scene, over and over again she stood over my roof with her shining eyes looking at me through the rain. That glance seems hint to me, that my light was coming.

One favorite line I heard is from "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho:

"And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

“No, scratch that. To have and to hold, where even death cannot part us. In this life and the next, for however long our souls remain, mine will always find yours. Those are my vows to you.”

If you’re asking me my favorite tragic love story, my answer will always be Romeo and Juliet. Classic. And this quote comes from one of my favorite books about Romeo and Juliet re-telling.

"My hope, is if we add up the one mores, it'll equal a lifetime and I never have to get to the part where I have to let you go." This part of the poem in Someone Great rent free in my head.

Tomie (富江), 1987. It is an iconic Japanese horror manga series written and illustrated by Junji Ito. She's a mysterious, beautiful, but phycological and emotionally manipulative. She possessing and undisclosed power to make any man fall in love with her- kind of character. As the one who enjoying so much horror genres, I would like to say this is so good, especially the way Tomie being fully an asshole along the series.

“And it will be the tragedy of my life that I cannot love you enough to make you mine. That you cannot be loved enough to be anyone’s.”

(I actually have a lot of favorite lines, I have countless annotations and have highlighted everything I love from things I stumbled upon. But the one I just mentioned just hits different lately).

"We're just queuing for possibility, queuing for something, maybe queuing for nothing. But it will pass, even the longest queue dissolves eventually." :,) from a book that i've read few months ago. That one specific line.. it's been lingering on my mind since then. Rated that book 4.5/5 stars after that.

“There’s no need to force the harsh truth onto a small bit of happiness. Sometimes you need an illusion to be happy.”
