Hello! Gates is completely digital. BigCartel has the address request as an automatic feature but we only really need your email in order to send you the digital zine. Hope this helps!

Hi hi, for the merch artist apps what’s the difference between the portfolio and the art samples? Is the 3 samples of actual merch ideas and the portfolios just a mix of either merch art and general artworks? Also can any of the samples be smth we want to use in the zine? (Sorry I’m new to this sjdks)

Hello, and thank you for your question! For your three samples, we ask you show your best works, preferably including at least one merch sample if you're applying for merch (can be designs, they don't necessarily have to be physical! And prints count too!). Your portfolio is meant to be an extension to show more of what you can do (merch or art in general)!

Technically you CAN apply with something you would like to participate with, BUT please note:
- the piece must never have been used/shown anywhere else before
- it must be entirely new and tailored to the anthology's theme
- it is not a guarantee you will be accepted to the anthology
- even if you ARE accepted, we can't guarantee that the mods will pick that pitch during the pitching process

Are we allowed to use nsfw examples in our application?

As stated in our application guidelines, we are not a NSFW anthology. SFW samples are preferred but not required. If any of your samples include NSFW content, they must be explicitly marked as such.

I have a question about the guidelines. It said that no demons other than Fallen are allowed. What does that mean? And also, if the fic samples are brand new, can they be used in the zine or do we need to make new ones after?

Hello! "Fallen" in this case means "fallen angels" which are allowed in the zine! Sometimes people interpret "fallen angels" as demons, but unless your "demon" is specifically a fallen angel, demons are not allowed. We apologize for the confusion! As for the fic samples, we ask everyone create something new for the zine since there will be a pitching process and we can't guarantee which one of your pitches will get picked. Thank you so much!

Even though the zine is sfw can the samples be nsfw? (for the apps I mean lol)

Hello! While we prefer SFW samples, NSFW samples are allowed as long as they're explicitly marked as such. Please refrain from using samples depicting problematic content (i.e. noncon/dubcon, incest, underage, scat, bestiality, necrophila, etc...). This is all outlined in our contributor guidelines, found in our carrd!
