I’ve been rereading VE recently, and I remember a line in the post screenplay memo, that occeus mentioned that he doesn’t watch movies anymore, what types of movies did he used to watch?
he used to enjoy deep and abstract sci-fi and horror fare, and the enjoyment of these things is what really lit the spark for him to study what he does now.
he used to be a lot more inventive and curious about what he made too! remember the multiversal communicator that acts as his lab mainframe? but somewhere along the way...
