preggy bg who's in his early stages of pregnancy, his bump just slightly rounded and tiny and he's just getting used to his body adjusting to the life forming inside of him, getting cravings for food he's never liked before.

like seafood 😭

it started when the couple was out eating dinner and sbn would usually order food he could share with gyv but this time gyv said it was ok and that they could order separate dishes because his appetite has been small recently (he gets really bad nausea) so sbn orders spicy seafood noodles.

while they're eating gyv starts thinking the clams and shrimp in the dish looks appetizing and he's slightly weirded out because he's never thought seafood was appetizing at all..

sbn pauses, chopsticks in hands, and looks at bg, who's been staring at him eating for the past 5 minutes, his own food untouched. He gets concerned, afraid that bg might be having a sudden bout of sickness, so he puts his utensils down, reaching over to rub at gyv's shoulder, "Hey gyv? are you ok? are you feeling sick again?"

Bg snaps out of it and shakes his head, "No, no hyung, I'm fine... it's just..."

sbn watches at gyv continues to stare at his bowl. He raises an eyebrow, "just what?"

bg looks like he's in a trance, his mouth hanging slightly open, and if sbn looked closer he could see a drip of drool in the corner, "I wanna eat it."

Sbn looks down at his dish, the seafood swimming around in the spicy broth, and looks back up at gyv's face, "You want to eat my food?"

Gyv nods ferociously, his eyes sparkling. Sbn looks confused and continues to look up and down betwen the dish and bg's face, "But it has seafood in it? are you sure?"

Bg nods again, "It looks kind of good right now..."

Sbn bursts out in laughter, reaching over to pet bg's hair, "Is it your cravings? Is the baby craving seafood?"

bg leans over the table enthusiastically, as sbn carefully peels a shrimp, "my mind is telling me no but the baby is telling me yes."

Sbn has a shrimp in hand, a fond smile overtaking his face, and holds it to gyv's mouth cautiously, "If you don't like it just spit it into my hand okay?"

bg is so sure he's going to like it though. He's never though the pink sea cockroach would look so delicious. He does have half the mind to only take a small nibble, biting into the tip of the curled shrimp and chewing carefully,

Sbn watches him intently, palm out just in case. Bg chews slowly with no expression, his face blank as his jaw works through the food. It only takes two minutes for his face to curl up in disgust, and sbn laughs as he quickly puts his hand out underneath the omega's jaw to catch the spit up food.

bg whines, discarding the food from his mouth, "It looks so good but tastes so bad."

Sbn wipes the spit up food into a napkin and cleans his hands thoroughly, "I guess you don't want it as bad as the baby does."

bg pouts still staring at the noodle dish, "I still want to eat it so bad."

sbn huffs out a smile, "Babe no, I can't risk you throwing up in the restaurant."

Bg groans out loud, flopping back into the chair, one hand on his rounded belly, "Why is this baby so difficult!"

Sbn plays along knowing gyv is just joking around, "Hey don't say that about my baby."

Bg pouts, tears welling up in his eyes. He feels so frustrated and annoyed because he hasn't been able to enjoy any food lately. His appetite was now absolutely gone since the only thing he wanted to eat was that damn shrimp but unfortunately it tasted so bad.

Sbn sees his frustration and puts down his utensils to console his omega, "Do you want something else?"

Bg shakes his head no, crossing his arms together, feeling sulky and disappointed. Sbn feels bad that gyv hasn't been enjoying their dinners lately, so he calls for a waiter to pack up their food. If gyv can't enjoy anything lately, then he should be a good partner and suffer just as equally. Bg watches in amusement as sbn packs up their food, "Wait you're not finishing your food?"

Sbn nonchalantly continues his ministrations, "Nope."
Bg sits up, "Why not?"

Sbn smiles at him as he wraps up the plastic bag, "Because I don't want to enjoy food alone if you are not having a good time love."

Bg almost bursts into tears at his thoughtfulness, "Damn Choi sbn, you like me that much?"

Sbn rolls his eyes, already out of his seat, and offers a hand to help up his pregnant boyfriend, "Yes? if I didn't love you then I don't think we would've tolerated each other enough to make a baby."

"Well... the baby... wasn't planned."

Sbn snickers, "I mean yeah but you get the sentiment."

Bg huffs, a small smile threatening to appear on his face. He hugs sbn's free arm as the walk away from the restaurant, his head leaning on the alpha's shoulder, "You're the best you know that."

"Yeah, I know."

"Ugh."

"Sorry- I meant, yes the love of my life thank you for complimenting me."

OMG that's such a well known moment in the sgyv universe
The one thing about sbn is... he's gonna be a tsundere on camera and maybe he is too irl between him and gyv. There are moments that we see on camera where he hesitates, for example (i found this moment actually so cute), they went out to eat during their early debut days, and gyv was struggling to pull the fishcake down from the skewer and sbn offered to do it for him but gyv didn't hear, so when he said huh, sbn just said nevermind 😭 and i have a feeling their dynamic is very much like that
I feel like gyv doesn't care if the world knows that he loves someone, which is why i feel like within the sgyv dynamic, he's very obvious about his affection for sbn. He's just a lover boy!
and for sbn's case, I really relate with him on this one, I believe he thinks that keeping your affection private feels more intimate and leaves you feeling more connected with your partner. Why does the world need to know I'm deeply in love with you? When you're the only person that needs to know?

You get me? Sbn also said that he feels like if he's affectionate on camera people might view it as fake or maybe even fan service

SO to get back to your point, I think at that moment sbn did want to confess, but I think he's a person who would do it at the right moment and over the phone was not it. Maybe he was overwhelmed and wanted to confess in the moment because of all the events that surrounded that time (gyv was sick!) and he realized he really did love gyv.

Either way, I have a feeling sbn would've confessed to gyv in a more intimate setting, and i think it would be private enough for both of them to keep quiet about it. We obviously saw how their dynamic changed over the past 2 years and as tsundere as sbn is to gyv, we can tell he loves him very much.
