i just finished reading silver springs and im obsessed with the non linear format of the fic and just how vivid everything felt even tho it’s flashbacks? it was a bit confusing in a good way bc i felt so immersed in the scenes and forgot that it’s not the present. also ur characterisation of beomgyu is so human and Him and he was so painfully relatable and i couldnt help but root for him to be happy the entire time… thank u for making it a happy ending , the confession was so satisfying as well. The confession by lyrics idea because the fic revolves around music and them sharing it as a love language and bg being a music major… it was so befitting of them. thank u for writing i really look forward to whatever else u decide to show us of ur writing next year <3
This so cute I’m gonna sob.. This fic is genuinely so dear to me and has probably been the most fun thing to write bc it was immersive to me too as a writer the words just flowed and i wrote it non linearly with little to no planning it was all in my head.. I’m sure it shows lol so I’m glad u enjoyed the non linear aspect of it!! hmm the fic is mostly flashbacks but like it’s more Memories bc in the first scene beomgyu goes off abt how he remembers everything and stuff so it’s him living vicariously through those old youthful moments of his past till he gets fed up with it at the end and his internal monologue tells us that he wants to look forward now and not look back. ofc a lot of the scenes is narration for the reader etc but yeah it’s mostly him actively Recalling because his character is portrayed as someone who’s deeply sentimental.
Beomgyu’s characterisation was mostly me projecting ngl but I still tried to make him as resembling of beomgyu as possible in a diff setting yunno… im glad u like him (me)
I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME WRITE A SAD ENDING so yea… rest assured that all my fics will have happy endings. As for the confession lol it’s inspired by the kdrama Soundtrack #2 and i felt like it was fitting for soogyu in my fic like u said ty for noticing these very intentional details and loving them. ur super nice anonie ily <33
