I'm really starting to have a habit of hiding stuff that i like because of how the fandom is behaving this past weeks, ik it sounds wild but like I can't help but feel like i will get cancelled for having a minor mistake on any speech i do about something i like here, i take breaks from this app constantly but everytime i come back it's the same thing, I didn't want to delete the app because so many people i hold dear are active only here so :( idk
honestly I totally get that anon, I’ve been one to hide my interests and such ever since I was young, but over time I’ve learned to just throw aside that shame and to speak as much as I wish! it’s very much easier said than done, sure, but it’s better than constantly having to worry about what others think =_=
if you’re too afraid to speak on main, maybe you can make some private accounts to be more open there! that’s always a start! and over time, you’ll get more confident, and post more on the main! it’s a step by step process! what matters is that you’re comfortable, and proud of yourself!
it’s always good to take breaks, and unfortunately, people being stupid on this app is a constant thing, so it’s not really something that can go away. but at least you can step away from it, that’s the beauty of the online world! if it sucks, hit the bricks!
