Hii I saw fil/eng in your bio and i hope you could answer my question; Why do filo/bahasa(?) AUs often (or always) have different names for the members? Like completely different names like idk Zack?😭 I hope I don’t seem rude I’m genuinely curious (bcs it can’t be a coincidence that it’s always a filo/bahasa/tagalog(?) AU that uses different names😭
im not sure either, actually! i used to find it weird too but this isnt limited to just kpop rpf. it happens to local rpf too! im assuming it’s just to avoid detection? or to separate the person from the character. im sorry i want to provide a better answer but this practice has been around for the longest time… i cant say why, but it works! also prefer reading aus using their real names but you get used to it after some time :pp
(i still dislike it when the names are so fucking outlandish tho… like i imagine the wester equivalent is a name like keighleigh or something LMAO)
